One of the last paper scraps/spaceship parts. I lost my helicopter getting the one before it, and needed to something to get up on the roof. Blimp was the closest thing....

I enjoy reading this thread because this game just looks silly with the damn selfies, but had to chime on the 'outgrowing video games' business. I haven't owned a game system since my PS2. Which I sold. I haven't played any computer games in about a year either. Basically since my daughter started being mobile and fun to play with. I don't know when I would have time to play anymore, which makes me feel really old.

You probably don't watch much TV or movies either, you're just a more active/outdoorsy kinda guy. And having a child certainly takes up a lot of time, but most people seem to feel it's worth the trade-off.
People just have this idea that video games are immature and childish, even though a lot of them have complex plots and mature themes and probably less than half of them are really targeted to kids anymore. But nobody ever says they're outgrowing movies or TV. I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two.

Not that I care what other people really think anyway, but it's just kind of an annoying misconception.

Wait till she gets older. I think I play more WII with the kids (or watch them play on their DS and 3DS XL) more than I play Xbox.
All I really want to do is work on my car. But I'm n no rush to do that. The girls come first.

3ds xl? How many damn DSes has Nintendo made? I still have an original DS from 2007 or whenever it was.

Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
I guess my point was that I haven't outgrown enjoying video games, but that the rest of my life has taken over. Which is what makes me feel old, and I don't like feeling old. I wish I had time to play these new games. But most days go like this - work, dinner, play with daughter, go through nightly fight that is getting a 2 year old to bed, watch a show or two with wife, bed, repeat Monday - Friday. And weekends are either family trips to the mountains, kayaking/biking/skiing, or traveling for gigs. I wouldn't give up what I've got for the world, but sometimes I miss the freedom of my 20s and having the time to do something like play video games.Honor wrote:You probably don't watch much TV or movies either, you're just a more active/outdoorsy kinda guy. Actually, if you don't have any more children you won't even have to wait that long. Once your daughter hits 18-20 you'll probably have a lot more free time, depending on how it plays out.

Either there's been a rift in space-time, or the DMV messed up.
Still finishing up single player...I'm about 80% of the way through. Have you played all of Trevor's rampages yet?

I'm going with rift since both cars are modded the same way. I was taking Trevor out on a gay date to get some of that 100% shit, and when I came back to my house to play tennis with him, in Micheal's car..... Micheal's car was already at home.JaysonAych wrote:Either there's been a rift in space-time, or the DMV messed up.

- Yeah, but I beat it in one try. I had a good position where I could see the road to the base and the intersection outside of it, full armor, and a fully loaded RPG. They'd roll a vehicle my way and I'd shoot the fuck out of it before any one could get out.

Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
In GTAV
There's a Xmas "DLC" coming. Holiday themed clothing, and SNOW, they say.
SNOW.
In LS.
Took that pic last night, the weather is getting weird. There are screen shots and videos of people who have early access to it. Looks fucking insane.

That's pretty awesome...I wish they gave us a little more to do in Ludendorff, so I can't wait to see what they do with a snowy LS.
I beat the game finally over the weekend. Still have a few loose ends to tie up, but the main story is done.

Yeah there is a lot of potential there, but its so unfinished..... there was a glitch to go there at will in online, but they patched it. Mostly.
I've been going back to GTA just to get 100%. I'm at 96.xx% right now with just a few little things do.
KIFFLOM!
Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
I don't have the patience to comb for spaceship parts, pages, and nuclear waste. Kudos to you for being able to do it. It just such a big world. I think I've found maybe 10 stunt jumps.
Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
The spaceship parts was a bitch, not gonna lie. Everything else takes about an hour to do each, or less.JaysonAych wrote:I don't have the patience to comb for spaceship parts, pages, and nuclear waste. Kudos to you for being able to do it. Played in the snow last night (Online only, disappears after Jan 5th). Either this is a Manly Man, or the game is just ruining the illusion by having people still walk around in shorts and bathing suits.
I played as an Elf for a bit
Then I remembered there were new masks for free at the beach shop!
Then I got cold and bored so I went back to single player and gave Franklin a pimped Bifta dune buggy for Xmas. He was not pleased for some reason.
Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
This is GTA 4, but fuck it, I'm not making a new thread for this, funny as it is:

Do you wanna kill some pedestrians?
Or watch some cop bodies get shot and fall?

I just figured out that you can shoot the fuel tanks of semi trucks causing them to leak diesel, which can then be ignited by shooting it, causing the truck to explode T2 style. Pretty sweet.

I also noticed that Franklin is the only one who can jimmy car doors open, Trevor and Mike have to break the window. Franklin also gets the car hotwired quicker. Franklin is the black guy, for anyone who doesn't play.

Shit, I never knew you could press right D pad when near people and you'll talk to them. I'm walking around Sandy Shores as CJ just starting shit with people.

Re: GTA V thread, because we'll surely need it.
I was crossing the street when this big rig just ran me over and didn't give a shit and just kept driving. I came really close to dying. I got back up, stole a car sitting at a red light, and caught up to him like a half mile down the road. I was actually surprised he didn't despawn. So I guess he saw me, and started speeding up, took a wide turn and crashed into a tree. Then the dude gets out and starts booking it down the street. I probably chased him close to a mile or so through construction sites and backyards before I caught up to him, then I beat him to death with a golf club. This game is awesome.

Here's the fucker. And a paramedic that came to save him attacked me when I got too close while trying to take a picture of the dude's body.
