Indy Grand Prix layout at sunrise..... shitty lighting, couldn't see the apex for the first turn, just kinda aimed and prayed.

Started with a 2006ish Ford Fusion seat I got from work for free, on a base made from 2X4's my landlord left beneath the stairs in my basement.
Yes its made of wood. Cheap and easy to work with. Have access to a welder, but no free material.
Now that I got my wheel/pedals, I was able to plan out the rest. Here's the base and 'firewall' were the pedals mount to:
Swapped gas and clutch to mount inverted:
Finished the hardest part, which was the top and the supports for it. Even added a dead pedal:
Still need to work out a way to make the seat either permanently mounted to the pedal base, or moveable to ease ingress/egress of my fat ass:
Close
Far (where my driving postion is at)
The side no one sees:
All said and done it cost me literally nothing. Even used the new rechargable hand saw I got as a gift from Mazda. Aaaaand was gonna use it tonight, but found out the pedals DON'T FUCKING WORK. Not sure why, but I know its not something I did when inverting them.
Oh well, Gives me more time to finish the cockpit properly.
Going to paint it and wrap it in soft vinyl maybe, or something free I find at work.....
That's pretty cool. Your knees fit under there?

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
Yeah. With a few MM to spare.
I couldn't find anything to wrap it in so its painted white primer right now. Might just leave it.
Got so pissed at it though the other night trying to run the all-Pontiac races in the Event List.... probably should have known my Fiero was no match for G8's and GTO's (it was faster than the Firebirds and Solstices) and I could NOT keep up with the wheel.
So I switched back to the controller and beat them all the first time.
I thought about getting rid of the Fanatec for a split second, then I saw the next race on the list is an all-Mustang race, A-class. That means I get to bring back my '95 Cobra R, with a little more motor this time.
LOVE THAT CAR.

not to mention the whole track is basically just constant changes of directions.

No, Dunnas generally sucks because he has zero consistency but is occasionally able to pull a really good lap time out of his ass if he puts enough repetition into a challenge. :jay:Benfolio wrote:Dawwww, thanks Honor.
Dunnas is pretty decent too. He'd probably be in but its open to US residents only. He beat a bunch of my times in Rivals and I haven't been able to beat him back easily. If I had more time I'm sure I could (maybe), but I'm going for cheevos and trying to get the Bucket List by racing every race in the event list.
I do recall seeing that challenge but also that it was only open to US gamers.

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
Im the same way Dunnas. The only way I get a good lap time is if I do like 10 laps and get the feel for the track and car. Except Laguna Seca and Maybe Road Atlanta and Mid Ohio. I have them down pretty good. I have like 175 cars so I hardly ever drive any particular one often.

Do any of you guys have a Konigsegg CCGT to lend me? I just need it for two races.

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
I'm going for achievements and affinity recently. MAN its hard to put 1000 miles on a car, or brand.
Speaking of... got any rare expensive Ferraris you don't use?
Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
I have all the old expensive ones but I bought them with tokens so it wont let me send them to anyone or auction them. Fucking retarded. I might have a few ones you need I actually bought myself though so just let me know what you need and I'll check.

Heehee, I have 30mil 80+ cars and never needed tokens.
When I go for the Ferrari Collector cheevo I'll let you know. I have a few, as I choose a Ferrari everytime I could when leveling up because I knew that cheevo would be hard, and 'spensive.

And since we're going all goofy with the Ford Van we might as well put some semi trucks in there for fun.

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
I'm glad they gave us the option to buy tokens. Why would I grind for dozens of hours to buy the ridiculous priced cars when I can just spend $1.50 or whatever in real life money for each one? You have to put value on your time.

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
As long as I am accomplishing something, like checking off races on the Event List, or beating people in Rivals mode, I'm happy spending the time.
Speaking of Rivals, its the best way to level up and gain mass quantities of credits, so long as you can keep improving your time.

World Tour? You don't. The AI adapts to you. You can only change the assists that you use.

And lately it has been letting me use any class car I want in any race. You can enter a Veyron for example in a awd race against c,d class cars etc.

And rivals should give you a rolling start. Otherwise your first lap is pretty pointless.

I was too. The AI is just too easy for some. Wait until you get into S and R classes. You can turn the class thing on and off I think, that way it won't let you "cheat".

Its good for warming up the tires, and getting a good run at the finish/start line for a quick next lap.

*the womb broom is now online*

Monthly rivals contests, forum contests, photo contests, etc. It is (was?) actually kind of easy, I have a bunch, but not that one.
Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
So I guess they aren't offering any right now? That's lame, they should just make challenges or something where you have to beat a certain time to get a car, and leave it up there permanently. Now I may never have a chance to get that M3, let alone the rest of the Unicorn cars.

Re: Forza Motorsport 4 - It's on!
Every month if you beat the King of The Track's time, Juan Pablo Montoya's was the last one, you get a unicorn.
I'm sure there'll be one this month as well.

If you get this month's car pack, and don't mind slinging a 1200hp Hennessey Venom around Motegi, you MIGHT win that M3. 100 randomly chosen players that set a lap time get one.
