I don't know if I like that. Thanksgiving is the perfect time for televised schadenfreude.

every year. the rumblings were because people don't think detroit deserves to have that slot, since their performance has been so dismal for so long.

however, it was noted that the ratings haven't suffered. even though detroit sucks ass, they're pulling the same thanksgiving day ratings that dallas is.

People will do anything they can to avoid talking to their shitass relatives on Thanksgiving. Even if it means having to watch Detroit approximate a game of football.

i don't really understand thanksgiving at all. nobody is thankful for shit. i only enjoyed it as a kid because we got two days off from school, and it marked the 'beginning' of the christmas season.

Every week that Detroit loses a game, then the next week, they should trade places with the #1 ranked team in college football. If they win that college game they can move back up...if they lose, they have to keep playing college teams until they win. If Detroit loses after the college season is over, then the college team that finished #1 gets to take their place for the rest of the season and keep on playing.
