I had a feeling he would go ahead and retire. He seemed to take more time than normal deciding what he wanted to do last off-season...you could see that the balance between personal life and football was shifting. I think one of the coordinators is looking to get a head coaching gig somewhere else. Team could be different next year.

I read here and there a few fans and pundits saying how it sucked that the Colts only won one Super Bowl while he was here and they're glad new blood is coming in. But I remember when I first got interested in football and starting rooting for the Colts, they sucked ass most of the time. Marchibroda, Infante, and Mora were all erratic. Even when they got Marvin Harrison and Peyton Manning, they lacked consistency. Dungy brought it all together, and as a fan, as disappointing as the first-round exits are, I never took for granted that Dungy put the team in the position to even get to the playoffs as much as they did. The Colts were very lucky to have him.

Success for a lot of teams runs in cycles, and I have a feeling we might be starting a downward slide. We'll see.

yeah and the eagles are starting an upward one. hopefully. all i can say is we are def going to the superbowl. cardinals? pshhh.

One thing I don't get is that most people who live in PA don't like the Eagles. The Philadelphia area consists of many diehard fans but if you go an hour west or north for some reason everyone is a Steelers fan. This girl I know is from nepa and she likes the Steelers. She also tried to say she doesn't like the Eagles because of the bad fans and that Philly doesn't deserve another championship. Fuck her.

I think one of them may have owned it. As I understand it from something else I read, the Porsche had caught fire in the parking lot earlier (you can see the truck next to it has been scorched), and they were taking out their frustrations on it since it was already a write-off.

I didn't have much emotional stake in the game, but he definitely moved my give-a-shit meter more toward the Arizona side a few notches.
