SBF wrote:Ok, back in Forza 1 or 2, couldn't you change the colors of the manufacturers decals? There were 3 to choose from, white, black and full color.
I hate that you can't do that in Forza 3. I also hate that you can't put decals on the black plastic on the cars (I know I complained of this before). It's bullshit, I want to put license plates on several of my cars and can't.
yeah, and i feel like if i cant put license plates on all of my cars i dont want to put them on any of them. there are quite a few issues carried over from forza 2 that im very surprised they didnt fix. i bet they wont fix them for forza 4 either.

id like more realistic sounds too. not that forza 3's are terrible or anything but they leave something to be desired. if im driving a ferrari or a built camaro or mustang i want it to sound like one.

i just tried the need for speed hot pursuit demo, not very realistic at all like turbo said. in the stats it says the top speed of the crown vic is 130mph but then i hit 175 in it no problem, even without the nitrous. wtf?

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
I played the NFS demo. My issues are:
1) Steering sucks, correcting your steering becomes overcorrecting. I found myself off the road constantly.
2) When letting off the gas into a turn, the car automatically drifts. No thanks. The car should break loose, not go into D1 Gymkana drift at 130 mph.
3) Certain shortcuts turn into longcuts because there are all sorts of "realistic" obstacles in the way.
4) The game has to be connected to the Internet. I think that's a load of crap.

NFS Hot Pursuit 2 had nitrous only on the squad cars.

At least for XBOX, it needs to be connected to XBL. Because it uses some new thing called AutoBot or some crap like that that gets all the lap times and shit from other people playing the game; it automatically recognizes your friends who are playing it and compares your times against them too.

It's always been like that. I don't know why.
Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
That's BS. HOpefully its different for PS3...I mean it's rated by the ESRB, but there's of course no rating for the online environment...so one would assume there's non-online gameplay.SBF wrote:Turbojett wrote:wait, the full version is going to have to be connected to the internet to run?

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
"before Christmas" and "Holiday Season" the website said. Some BS about they were working on updating it to install the new System upgrade or something else about fixing 3D graphics quality. two conflicting reports.
but this waiting until the game is within a month of its release date and then shoving it back again is crap. that's the fifth time they've done that.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
Car and track list for GT5 is out. http://jalopnik.com/5688431/the-cars-tracks-of-gran-turismo-5
There are 1,031 cars, but I counted 62 Skylines/GT-R's, 35 Miatas (or variants thereof), 28 RX-7's, 25 Imprezas, 23 Evos, 18 S2000's, 16 NSX's, and 12 3000GT's. I didn't know there were 12 models of 3000GT different enough to warrant a place in history. "Well....I could get a 1996 SL. Buuuut, I think I'll get a 1995 SL."
And how many Starions are there? 1. Fucking one, and it's the '84 rally car.
Apparently it'll be out on the 24th maybe possibly.

Wow, help me decide:
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '03
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (19inch Wheel Option) '09
Where the fuck are all the "new" cars? All I see is a lot of the shit from GT4 (Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab, but no SRT-10?) and cars from 2008 or older.
But this makes up for it: Subaru LEGACY Touring Wagon GT-B '96
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '03

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
18 S2000s? There's probably a million drift and race car versions, because otherwise the 2 and 2.2L versions of any year cut it.
And when's the new S2000 coming out anyway? It's been 12 years.

When the automotive market tanked, they weren't going to replace it, but there are reports that a new one began development in recent months. Probably won't hit for another 3 or 4 years.

I was thinking that too. As many cars as there are, there sure doesn't seem to be much there.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
In honor of GT5's impending release, the Forza guys on the SA boards are doing a special race: Porsches vs. Skylines. Skylines aren't allowed liveries.
Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
Cars I'm disappointed not to see:
2010 Mustangs of any sort
06-09 GT500
06-10 Charger
CTS-V current, past, coupe, sedan, whatever
STILL NO SECOND GENERATION CAMAROS
'97 Camaro SS
'80's IROC-Z
Genesis Coupe
NO KOENIGSEGGS
SA22C RX-7
regular 370Z (the only one is a tuned car)
05-06 Pontiac GTO
'65-'67 GTO
'68-'70 GTO
Production Solstice (preferably a GXP)
G8 GT or GXP
STILL NO REAL PORSCHES
Scion tC (It was even mentioned in GT4, but not in it? you'd think they'd put it in GT5)
'67-'68 GT500 (makes me miss GT2)
Spyker Aileron
post-04 TVR Tuscan
60's Volkswagen Beetles
There'd better be some DLCs to rectify this problem.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
dammit.
I saw the KPGC110 Skyline 2000GTR, and didn't see the C10 anywhere near it, and I almost lost it. I forgot the damn thing's listed as "Skyline Hard Top 2000GTR" and it's all the way down on the bottom.
Hopefully they'll be in more colors than just boring-ass white and silver too.

Actually none of the Gran Turismo Games had an SA22C or even an FB.
I do personally own an '80 SA22, so I've kept my eye out and it's been a disappointment it hasn't really been in many games.
I've been really wanting to drive this little son of a bitch.

I bet if you post on the FM3 forums someone can cook one up for you easy. I'd give it a go but my xbox is on time-out still.
