AF Forza 3 Racing League
LX-R and I were discussing setting up a racing league with the folks here on AF because of how many of us have it on here.
We haven't worked out every detail, but basically 2 or 3 heats would be set up once or twice a week. We would decide on here what classes to race and tracks. We would make some form of a points system. Realize this is for fun, basically something to do during this boring winter and to race with people we know.
Anybody interested?

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
Count me in. This Wednesday and next Wednesday I have a Forza event with SA going on, but other than that, I can race most nights. I'm usually home from work by 10 pm EST, and my weekends are usually pretty open.
Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
ya mods are more expensive than forza 2 and money is tougher to come by. how do they expect anyone to ever get enough to buy some of those 10-15 million dollar cars in career mode anyway? even if you took the time to make that much would you really want to spend it all on one car? i'd love to buy a shelby cobra 427 but theyre almost 2 million each or so.

I think he meant a Gold Live account.
Also, you can win a lot of the expensive cars. Meaning they're in the auction house for fractions of the retail.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
How about we come up with a time in the next seven days when those of us interested will be able to have a race or two?

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
Today, tomorrow, and the next day, I'm mostly free aside from a few errands to run here and there. Usually awake from 1 pm to 4 am on the weekend, but I can make some adjustments if need be. When the work week starts back up, I can be available between 10 pm and 1 am, except Wednesday.
Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
This makes me want to buy a 360...but then i'll need to buy a TV too.

No TV? That means that even Wally is closer to having the game than you.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
I'm still slogging it through the seasons. Don't play online much. No time to setup various cars with different setups for different class hoppers.
But if we can set something up here maybe tomorrow or Sunday night I'll come out and play

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
im in the 6th season and i have the ai driver do most of the races now, alot of them are just so plain and boring.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
I hate hate hate the R1 races. But I love doing the slower class shit. I'm on season 5 and will purposely get into a POS car just to see what my options are during the 'week' until the next R1 championship. Just did Mustang vs Camaro and whopped ass with my all white Shelby..... this week its time to spank some Evo ass with my 22B.
I haven't used the AI driver at all, ever. Not sure if I will until the enduros, like I did with GT4.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
So when will anyone else be available? I see me and Benfolio have put down some general days. If not this weekend, maybe next weekend?
I love the slower stuff too. I'm slogging through the R2 championship on medium difficulty, but in between those races, I crank it up to hard and I've had some good door-banging races with the AI.

I see I've been mentioned in this thread... and not in a favorable light.
God I wish I had a PS3.
And a bigger TV.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
I forgot to revisit this thread and the weekend's over for me. But I have been on for a few hours in the mornings and evenings. It would be great to set something up over Easter, because bizarre hours wouldn't be a problem.

I gave up on Season play after completing the first year. Resorting to using the AI drive is pretty stupid - just race using the Event List. That way you get to race whatever you feel like at the time.

Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
My Live account has gone defunct, so when I get some money, I'll get it going again.
I'm usually available between 10pm and 1am on the weekdays and weekends. Hopefully soon.
It seems more fun using slow cars.

it is, pre-made race class cars seem so boring and sterile, i dont care how fast they are.

I did that for awhile but I'm back to running the seasons for the achievement.
Fucking Rossi was ALL OVER ME in the R1 race last night. I was inside him going into turn one at Suzuka and he turned into me, and the next three laps after that he deliberately ran into me, fucking up my aero. Pissed, I didn't finish the race (too slow to run anything but mid-pack) to save a replay, and I restarted and let the AI driver do the race. Not bad. And he was running alot faster in the Dyson Mazda than I ever did at that track. Ugh, I just suck at R1. But can run top 1% times in damn near every other class.
Re: AF Forza 3 Racing League
i hate rossi, i try to put him into the wall every chance i get

alot harder than the ps2 fix though. and we'll see how long it lasts.
it was pretty fun and satisfying to fix it on my own like that. i never really do anything productive.
