i haven't actually seen a dane cook performance, save for a 30 sec clip here or there. mencia sucks and joe rogen made him look like a fool.

lulz yea, Rogan pwned Mencia.
A buddy of mine gave me some some comedy CD's a few weeks ago: Jim Gaffagon, Dane Cook, and Katt Williams. All were about an hour long. The fore-most, and aft-most were hysterical. Middle, not so much. I think I laughed three times during that hour of Dane. ffffffffffffffuck that guy
yeah jim gaffigan is one funny motherfucker. i havent heard too much of katt williams though besides what he did in gta4.

He is great...I loved his last album.
A lot of my favorites are kind of in a lull it seems...I haven't see too many put out new albums. I saw that Joe Rogan just had a special on Spike and he's got some uncensored yootoob clips on his site.

Re: The Not-So-New Movie Thread
Shooter was good.
I watched Harold and Kumar 2 the other night. Was very afraid because the first one had a low key plot made great, so the title of the sequel implied terrible misjudgement. But it was actually great.
I want to go to a bottomless party.

Yeah, the whole actual escaping part didn't take up much of the movie.

Re: The Not-So-New Movie Thread
I bought it at JB last weekend, along with a few other (so far great) movies I had also not seen:
Shoot'em Up (the consistent ridiculousness makes it easier on the brain)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (very different kind of Western)
The Heartbreak Kid (like Something About Mary only not as funny but with some consolation nudity from this blonde)
Sukiyaki Western Drango (haven't watched yet but looks promising)
Driven (have seen before - no good, but I must collect all car movies)
Shoot'em Up has an amazing scene involving an unbuckling of seatbelt followed by intentional head on with van full of evil doers. I've never seen anything quite so over the top, with the possible exception of every other scene in the movie. Everyone has to like Clive Owen, although Monica Belucci is irritable for leaving her clothes on.

Nick Swardson is on right now. Funny motherfucker as well. Especially his stand up, not his recurring gay roller skater role on Reno 911.
Re: The Not-So-New Movie Thread
He was okay in Mr. Brooks, but then again he wasn't trying to be funny.JaysonAych wrote:I'll admit that I like some of Dane Cook's stuff. Certainly no comedic great by any means, but he makes me laugh, especially his older stuff. He gets more intolerable as the years go by. Mencia, however, can suck a dick.

It starts out kind of ok but then the twist and the rest of the movie is crap.

Yeah, the second half of the movie was totally not what I was expecting and not in a good way. They should've stuck with the drunken debauchery hero thing.

I Am Legend sucked. The Rifftrax thing might help, but I'm not sure even that would save it.
Re: The Not-So-New Movie Thread
I am legend is nother movie that started out ok and then lost the plot. Damn Will Smith.

The point is not to save it, but to point out it's suckiness.

Speaking of Will Smith, we watched "Bad Boys" last week. I'd forgotten how awesome Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were in their primes.

So how do they talk through the whole movie without taking a breath?
Re: The Not-So-New Movie Thread
I liked Legend alright. It wasn't amazing, but I don't think it sucked, aside from the ending. They should have ended it like the book did.

Just watched Wanted. Not a horrible movie. Definitely a twist though.
Angelina Jolie is still good looking in a used out hooker sort of way.
