My dad got me the xbox 360 Elite for Christmas so I'm online with a silver account for now. I need to upgrade to a gold account to use the Netflix app so that'll be happening next paycheck.

Now, I just need to get some games... Storm mostly has FPS games and I'm not a fan.

That reminds me. Anyone know of any reasonably priced 32" flat screen TVs that don't completely suck?

no it isnt. why does everyone think the xbox maxes out at 720?i think thats the wii youre all thinking about. the 360 and ps3 are both 1080p capable. if you go into the display options on the dashboard it lets you choose from 480, 720, 1080i, and 1080p.

some people also think only the elites are 1080p. not true, mine is a 20gb (60 now) model from 2006 and it can do 1080p as well.

on further review it appears the 360 was 720 when it first came out but MS upgraded it to 1080 late 2006.

so in conclusion, you should get a 1080p tv if they arent more than you want to spend. ps. fuck aris.

On a 32" TV you won't be able to tell the difference.

I found some on craigslist that are alright but the better deals are, of course, on rear projection.

All I know is that the giant clunky TV we have in there now gives me a headache. The TV is pretty much shot (it was left from our asshole roommate) and needs to be replaced. I was hoping to do it pretty cheaply since it's only for the xbox but ehhh. I think Talon's right though; since I don't plan on getting anything big, 720p should be fine. 1080p is way more than I'm going to spend, at least for now.

Our living room TV will be pimp though, since that's where I plan on having a bigger one. We have a 52" rear projection in there right now that is still pretty awesome but it'll be replaced eventually.

Isn't 32 inches a little bit on the big side? Anything over 28" is a little bit too intense for me.

i just noticed that. i thought they were all 1080p besides the older ones. only a few like halo 3, cod, gears of war 2, etc seem to be in 1080p.

you might want to know that A) xbox 360s don't have the capability to playback in higher than 720 and anyway the games aren't even rendered in 1080p even on the PS3 ad B) on a tv smaller than 42" the human eye can't really tell the difference between 1080 and 720.
