2009 Mazda 6 came in to work.
So we smashed it into a Tribute.
Tail light is pretty cheap, only $140, and it's the LED style.
Anyways, this thing is gonna be a hit for Mazda. The interior is out of this world, the trunk in MASSIVE, the roof height is a tad low (my hair hit the headliner in back, and was pretty close to the moonroof up front with the seat adjusted all the way down), the visors don't have slide-out extensions, but the backlit guages, the feel of the leather.... all very nice.
No Navi, but the Bose was one of the best I've heard in a Mazda
V6 engine VERY quiet. Too quiet. Can't hear the exhaust at all. Very un-sporty. Like not having a MT.
The blurred people are taping up the tail light and buffing out the bumper. Tail light should be in tomorrow

I like that. Those gauges are incredible.

those gauges are eerily similar to the ones that were in the last rx-7.
the last rx-7 had the best-looking gauge cluster of any car on the road.

Pretty attractive for a boring people-mover. Mazda's designers are probably the most consistent in the business. Well....next to chery.

audi's pretty consistent, too. . .

I actually prefer the last one. This looks slightly closer to Camry territory.

I saw one of those Saturday on the road. It's better in person than in photos. The rear has a really nice Fisker look to it.
Re: 2009 Mazda 6 came in to work.
Too bad that one is an assholematic. I drove the 1st Gen V6 5-speed and it was total sex.

I don't think they are similar, but the Rx-7 gauges always were awesome. Mazda made sure that the Tachometer was the largest gauge on the dash and was right in the middle of the cluster so it was always visible by the driver.

Yup.
And the 3.7L is just a stroked 3.5L Ford motor. But built in Japan. Well, it is in the CX-9.
