i really preferred the sounds of the f40 to the f50 in real life, though.

Ffffffuuuuck I haven't played the demo since I got it. Is that bad?

Maybe so, but if we were talking IRL, I would rather an F40. It's sex on wheels and the F50 is hideous in comparison.
Both go faster than I'd ever be able to drive them, anyways.
Re: looks like i'll be playing ***** * MASS: WE PRAY
Uh, just the REGULAR F40 is in FM2.
I'd rather a Testarossa.

Re: looks like i'll be playing ***** * MASS: WE PRAY
I'm not sure if it's the headlights or the pixellation around the side intake, but that F40 is least realistic of the cars of seen. Most of them look unbelievably good.
The GTO in the demo has something similar going on, so maybe they just drew the Ferraris with crayon.

Wrong. The Competizione was released in a DLC pack.

Re: looks like i'll be playing ***** * MASS: WE PRAY
i would just like the ability to set up races against the ai. like i can choose what car of mine or a stock one for it to drive. could make for some fun matchups. mustang vs camaro, evo vs sti, etc.
none of this same class bullshit. i want to pick the car they drive, even if it's alot slower than mine is. i dont care if im driving a veyron, let me race against a versa if i want to.
im talking arcade mode of course, i dont want to be able to blow my way through career mode like you could in the first 2 gran turismo games, that was lame.

There are a shitload of Multiplayer options, including bots. From what i've read I wouldn't be surprised if you could choose the exact car that each bot drives.

It's crap that they make you choose from a limited selection of cars when you start. Considering all the used cars that should be price equivalent, such as the 240Z, shitty Mustangs and the like.

about time they put trans ams in racing games.
and speaking again of GTOs, why the 68 again? Why not a Judge? Seems like they recycled alot of cars from Forza 2.

If you want to play in the cockpit view, someone with an advanced copy figured out a "hack" in the options to change your seating position. Results in the thread...this will help a lot.

Re: looks like i'll be playing ***** * MASS: WE PRAY
every time i see people drooling over how many cars are in these games I just think about how few cars I actually use in any racing game
I'm with pennz - once I get access to true racing vehicles the soft shitty suspensions in road cars pisses me off too much to use them. Keep in mind as well that I've hated every F1 game that I've ever tried, I just like the race-type vehicles in normal racing games.
it also took me quite a bit of time to finally figure it out but I really don't feel like adjusting every little bit of the suspension to wrench another tenth of a second. even within the video gaming world there's gotta be some way I can better be spending my time

I can see what you're saying, but I personally prefer the more plebeian cars in a game like this. There's lots of games where you drive high-performance machines or full-blown race cars, so getting the chance to drive the road cars in this kind of game is fun, especially online...everyone's dealing with some sort of imperfection (or imperfections) in their car, and trying to make the most of them. Just makes it more personable, I guess. Once I get to a high enough level where most of what's left to run are S-class and above, and the cars are all approaching perfection in power and suspension, I get bored, though at least we can now paint our own liveries on the race cars, which might help out in bonding with those cars.
And sometimes I also get weary of the tuning aspect, but I have plenty of other games where I don't have to futz with that and can switch to those or go into the arcade mode until I get back in the mood.
Re: looks like i'll be playing ***** * MASS: WE PRAY
the only time i ever tune is if my car has a low top speed for some reason. other than that, like bj said, i cant be bothered just to gain fractions of a second.

Agreed. I tend to not be too much into single player though. All my great memories from GT are of racing a friend with an equally quick tuned road car. The only ting that can get annoying is the performance of classic cars, but I'd take realism over rose-tinted glasses any day. And multiple human opponents racing classics, as Jay said having to overcome individual shortcomings, could be awesome.
