Yeah, you can get a turbo 4 or a V6.
I'm digging it myself. That ad where it was being thrown around Road Atlanta was pretty cool
Re: Genesis Coupe
Yeah I would do Turbo 4 over V6.
Didn't they say the Turbo 4 would be like 220 hp or something?

That sounds right. The V6 is around 300-310.
Re: Genesis Coupe

Hopefully its a big hit, and then some other company (AHEM NISSAN) decides to bring back a small rwd platform.

I think I'd be worried though, These new pony cars are rather cheap, I can see high school kids getting them and the shit hitting the fan.

I thought it looked nicer the last time I saw it. The head and tail lights don't do it for me at all.

I don't know but I'm guessing their engineers know more about it than you.

Re: Genesis Coupe
Yeah RY, cause I don't have experience with aging 4 cylinders at all ... nope havn't worked on dozens and seen what happens when they get old.
You think any manufacture cares about what happens to a car after 100K mile? fuck no, not their problem anymore they want you to buy another one. Just look at any KA and you'll see that the exhaust header studs were made of low grade steel and the heat cycling cracked them. Look at the valve cover, i bet its leaking out the back because the header side heated the metal differently than the intake side and its shaped like a canoe now.

Re: Genesis Coupe
well, the car only has to last for 100k, and then hyundai is scot-free.

Re: Genesis Coupe
Actually dodge, several car companies have used composite valve covers, I've never heard of any major warpage problems. And what about all these V6s and V8s that use composite intake manifolds, I would imagine those would get rather hot as well.

About 3550 lbs for the V6, 3440 for the four-banger.

It's a bigger overall car, though. 8 inches longer, 5 inches wider.

Wow. That explains it. For some reason I thought it was a *small* RWD hatchback. Like an old Celica or something.

yeah. I bet the wally wagon was about that size, or bigger. Had AWD and was still 1000 lbs lighter. Granted it had a tiny engine, and no options or safety devices to speak of.

Yeah, that's nearly 500 pounds heavier than my wrx. A lot of newer cars are starting to get a bit beefy with all the extra equipment and such. I'd still like to test drive one but I'm not sure a car like that would be ideal as a daily driver.

That's amazing to me. I can kind of excuse my Civic being lighter because it's FWD. But you've got a reasonably new car with AWD - and it's STILL 500 pounds lighter.
