Aaaahahaha McCain is awesome.
He has his finger on the pulse of the common man, that's for sure.

Pretty silly on both sides. Too pots calling each other black. If one of them's more in touch with the common man, it'd be mainly down to the difference in age and fact he didn't spend his formative years in a Viet Cong cage.

i don't know why obama's campaign even bothered trying to spin what mccain said. we all know that mccain is quite old, and his camaro-like mental edge is drifting into the mighty mouse cartoon that is known as senility.

The Camaro forum I frequent is shockingly a right-leaning board
On it, they were talking about how Obama isn't fit to be Commander-in-Chief because he has no military background, and McCain is obviously a better choice.
After stating that I do indeed highly respect McCain's service to this country in Vietnam and what he sacrificed for the US, I pointed out that so many people on the board seem to really think the Iraq invasion was a swell idea and brilliantly-executed. And that the guy who was in charge of that....his entire military background was to spend a couple of years defending Alabama from the NVA. And that his vice president's own service background involved getting deferment after deferment from Vietnam while other poor kids got sent over to die. So it seems that a military background is not that crucial to running the Executive branch of government.
No one answered that, for some reason.

I suspect that most people on this site wouldn't vote for McCain anyway. I don't know how it'll turn out in November.

same was said about bush.
and the big advantage mccain has, is that he isn't black.

No. And also what's the point of your first sentence. The same was said about Bush. And few people on here voted for him. Which was my entire point. No one is using AF as a barometer for American political leanings.

Re: Aaaahahaha McCain is awesome.
half the people in this country don't even know who they're voting for. they just parrot whatever they learned from the people around them, who often had no idea what they were talking about, either.
the fact that this vote is getting close cracks me up, because one of the candidates is clearly not as sharp as he was in 2000. not even close. i used to be incredibly impressed by mccain's grasp of all the issues back when he was running against bush. now he's a mess.

i just pointed out that with bush, there were only one or two people on AF who said they'd vote for bush. and in the end, bush won. so indeed, what you said in reply to my post is true, AF isn't a good barometer, but from the past, we've learned that the one people on AF would vote for, doesn't get elected. (happened twice now, i think?)
but in your original post, you didn't say anything bout how unreliable AF was in this matter. even more, it almost sounded as you wanted to use it as an opinion poll. . . your original post had alot of dubiousness . . .

You don't think the fact that he's about to turn 72 years old would have anything to do with that. Ford was making Model A's when he was born.

Re: Aaaahahaha McCain is awesome.
what sucks about democracy is that when there's no good candidate, a bad one, or a mediocre one will be elected. and when someone complains about it afterwards, they'll hide behind the wall of "democracy". it's the people's fault . . .
*that*'s the major flaw with democracy

with democracy, people vote for people. if the votable people all suck, a sucky person will be elected. and it's the people that chose him.
i don't see how that's "not getting it"

Stop that bullshit dunnas, it is really annoying, and you are doing it because you know it is fucking annoying. Like I said, we all know you are a fat, ugly, lonely loser who is out to destroy all that is happy (or plain happier than you) so just go back to masturbate on the bathroom of your mommy's pub thinking about that waitress that turns you on so much.

One of the most important points about democracy is that periodical elections are held. No one can stay in power perpetually.
The fact that have sucky candidates does not justify not making an election for that period, or postponing it until "suitable or cool candidates are available". It would be the perfect excuse for dictators to stay on power forever. Imagine, "Mr. Mugabe denies that his competing candidates have the experience/balls/wit/intelligente/penis size necessary to rule zimbabwe, so the election is declared deserted for this period".
Now, I do agree that it's disturbing that the vote of say, dunnas or pennz counts as much as the vote of wally or les (as obnoxious as les is, you can tell he knows a lot about politics, even though his views are controversial and biased). But if votes counted differently, or if only a certain class of persons could vote, it'd bring a lot of social problems and it would lead to revolutions or new nobility. "The people" have to elect the president... even though they can hide after "the people" curtain later.

Re: Aaaahahaha McCain is awesome.
yes. and what you just saidh is basicly what democracy stands for. but the problem is:
all competent people don't care enough to run for anything. all the people who want to get elected, time after time after time, are all a bunch of dumbfucks and dipshits. *every* *single* *time*
and everytime one of those shitstains gets elected, it's "the people whe wanted him to get elected". which isn't true. it's not cause the people had less trust in the other candidats that they trust the elected. he's just the least untrustworthy.

Ascona wrote:yes. and what you just saidh is basicly what democracy stands for. but the problem is:
all competent people don't care enough to run for anything. all the people who want to get elected, time after time after time, are all a bunch of dumbfucks and dipshits. *every* *single* *time*
and everytime one of those shitstains gets elected, it's "the people whe wanted him to get elected". which isn't true. it's not cause the people had less trust in the other candidats that they trust the elected. he's just the least untrustworthy.
I do agree with that.

You see? I give you a serious answer and you attack me. That is why I question your presence here, just like everyone else does.
We're concerned and creeped out by you collecting out data and pictures. We're concerned about your aggressive self when you drink. We're concerned about you posting underage sexual material.
This is why we want to ban you.
