Wally's "video-game" topic! You read that right!

A friend of mine is trying to talk me into buying some sort of new, online, "multi-player" Star Wars game.

It just came out, I went down and looked at it, and it was like $70! Plus money every month. Does look kind of fun. But still. Yikes. That's like $270 if I played it for a year. ugh, such a dilemma.

Do I ever want to get laid again? I suppose, is the question I should be asking.

That game sucks, skip it.

My friend seems to like it. I'm not sold yet. I also don't want to turn into one of those world of warcraft wierdos that as a whole complete life through an internet game - with friends and girlfriends and relationships and commitments and all that. Fuck. I can barely manage my carbon based reality.

The only star wars games I feel are worth playing are the knights of the old republic games for the original xbox. Everything else is so-so.

I liked the Jedi Knight series as well. I played the first one a lot in high school, and the two that followed it up were pretty good too. Have't played them in forever now, but I remember loving them.

Oh, and of course further back the Tie Fighter and X-wing games were awesome too. As was Dark Forces. But those were from the mid 90s. I was in junior high school. Lucasarts was actually pretty awesome back then. Everything they put out was pretty decent. They've been choking a lot lately though.

Yeah, that was Dark Forces. I played that a lot too.

Ah yeah. Rebel Assault was a fun game too. I seem to recall finishing it really quickly. All I remember is that there was one level, with a bunch of giant crystals in a valley that kicked my ass. A lot.

And hell yeah about a revised version of Dark Forces. That'd rock.

Another FPS I LOVED when I was younger was Heretic. This was a fun game.
