Of the cars you have owned...
Which would you most liked to have owned as a brand new car? I'm not saying you get the current model of a car you once owned, I'm saying you get the specific car you owned but in brand new condition, with 0km on the clock. The one downside is you don't get to keep or make any modifications - from cassette decks to steel wheels, you're stuck with factory spec for life.
To give you an example, Honor is (theoretically) the proud owner of a brand new WRX. But if he could replace that with his BMW 318i or Camaro, would he?
Part of the fun of my turbo MR2 - and all of the fun of my V6 - is the modifications. So would I prefer one of those over a brand spanking 328i Coupe?
Yes I would. I'd take the red MR2 and copy all of my mp3s to cassette and put up with 15in alloys.
What would you choose?

I would have had 2. My '65 Chevelle as a daily driver and my '80 Rx-7 as the fun car.

Re: Of the cars you have owned...
No question: The Evo. I did it that way on purpose.
But, if you're saying we would have to keep the car 100% stock for its whole life, probably the Talon TSi for a DD. That car was perfect for me. Perfect size, nimble, respectible gas milage (25ish mixed), and the powerband was great. It wasn't that great in the snow but I managed. I am missing it now.

Yeah, I'd rather have my WRX than anything else by a longshot. Even if I'd owned an E36 M3 and not a 318 I'd still probably take the WRX.

Re: Of the cars you have owned...
I've only ever owned two cars. one was new and the other was a year old, so the question is pretty much moot for me.

I was going to say the Wally Wagon up until I read that you couldn't even upgrade the stereo. That car only had a radio. I'd need my own music.
So I guess I'd go with the Boots GT.

Re: Of the cars you have owned...
I would probably not, most of the fun in owning my cars has been modifying them to my own tastes, not to say they weren't good cars from the factory, but I'd probably own something else if I HAD to keep it in stock form.
Re: Of the cars you have owned...
My CRX. It was not the fastest car I've owned, but it was by far the most fun. It was like driving a big go-kart. It was just so easy to drive it really quickly on twisty roads, and being so small and low it made it feel quicker than it really was. It was stock except for the sterero, but I could get a tape adapter for cds or mp3 player.
It would be completely impractical for me at this point in my life though.

The 1982 Corvette.
Should have kept it anyway.

Re: Of the cars you have owned...
Two of my cars I did buy brand new. And they were both better than the 5 that came before it, so I'm not too wistful....
Of the used cars I had, the Cougar would have been pretty pimpin', but I wouldn't want that as an every day car anymore. Too big, too thirsty, and packing an underpowered V8, but it would have been stylish as fuck.
I think I'd have to go with the '86 Delta 88. Even though it was a grandma's car, it was actually pretty nimble, comfortable, and spirited. To have one brand new without all the problems that the 100,000+ mile version had would have been pretty nice...I'd have kept that car a lot longer if it didn't break every few months.

Toss up between my '77 Firebird Esprit, and my 2001 CVPI.
It would have been nice to not have gotten them in the condition they were in when I became owner.....
