Nissan Skyline WHAT?!?!?!
...Basically the JDM Infiniti EX37...
from Lethistorylive.com Car News
I know the EX is more car than truck, and is rather sporty basically the wagon version of the G37, but doesn't this sort of bastardize the Skyline name? Skylines (even without the GT-R model in its lineup) have always been distinctive and has always had some sort of sporty pretense. Now it's just a "me too"?

2010 Nissan Skyline Crossover
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the release of its all-new Skyline Crossover this summer. The all-new Skyline Crossover makes its foray into the crossover segment with a unique and distinctive design, that arrives from a fusion of a coupe with an SUV. The luxury crossover utilizes smooth, soft-to-the-touch and high-quality materials to provide an elegant and personalized interior space.
Powered by a VQ37VHR engine with VVEL technology, the powertrain delivers high response and high torque for an exhilirating driving experience. The powertain also offers cleaner emissions and good fuel-efficiency. Powerful, seamless and continuous acceleration is realized by mating the powertrain to a 7-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. Stable handling and supple ride comfort are optimally balanced for a pleasurable drive.

Not sure I agree. The Skyline name has always covered a range of cars. Although I would have thought this would be more likely called Stagea.

Yes, that's basically an JDM Infiniti EX.
And I know the Skyline has always been Nissan's bread-and-butter family sedan in Japan, but as Pennz said, it still had a legacy:
