2010 Ford Taurus
This is actually really good looking. I guess by what I read Ford decided not to base it as a family sedan because families are moving toward crossovers. It's supposed to come with a 265hp V6 in a FWD or AWD application and and optional 350hp twin turbo EcoBoost V6 (possibly in a new SHO version). They want to give the suspension and steering a more supportive sporty feel and it's going to have a 6-speed auto with paddle shifters. If this all comes true, the new Ford Taurus may be worth owning (I can't believe I just said that )

Yeah, I definitely don't mind that car at all. Seems a bit overpowered though.

Agreed. Kind of kills it right out of the box. If I were buying a car in that category it'd be the Accord or the Camry, hands down.

The Camries are kind of disgusting. The Current camry can't compete with the New taurus, mainly because thats the Fusion's Job.
And the New '10 fusion is nice too nicer than the current camry.

Re: 2010 Ford Taurus
Ford has had some good cars here and there. I liked the first-gen Taurus I used to have quite a bit. They've been pretty bland for a long time though, and it wasn't until the first generation Fusion that Ford had anything I was really interested in. I'm liking the new Fusion, that Taurus is awesome, the Fiesta looks to be a great car, and the Euro Focus should be heading here soon. They're getting their shit together.
Re: 2010 Ford Taurus
Yeah I agree that Ford is finally getting their shit together, I would like to see a replacement for the crown vic relatively close to the interceptor concept.

Why, because they'll be out of business before the warranty has expired?

Yeah. Of the domestics I think Ford is the most likely to survive. They didn't use the bail out money either, so that gives you a little faith.

The only thing to like on the current camry is its V6, The interior is kind of shitty, it looks ok i guess.

Re: 2010 Ford Taurus
I feel like the current Camry already needs to be updated. The interiors aren't horrible, I do like how the center piece of the dash lights up.
The 4-cyl isn't a bad engine either.

No whats up is you read too much consumer reports.
We have a pretty good stock of toyota's and other misc products at my work, not really all that impressed with Camry, Corolla, and Tundra.

How don't I know what's up with them, I used to service them 2 years ago and they haven't changed, they are due for some form of facelift and an upgrade in the interior, I never said it was a bad car.

Btw, the Company i work for is 20% owned by Toyota. Bascially if its not the structure of the car, we have our hands on it. Computer, BCM, TPMS, Spark Plugs, Compressor, Radiator, HVAC, etc.

And what's wrong with consumer reports? It confirms what I've already experienced through years of experiences with Toyota (Tercels, Corollas, Camrys, and RAV4s primarily) over the past 2 and a half decades.

Oh come on Wally it's domestic crap! I can get someone from the slimy side of Vancouver to give you aids though since you'd rather have aids then own a domestics.

But your wrong, the Camry is a stellar or maybe pefect import, no Ford can compete according to some of our so called experts here Who such as Wally have never owned a domestic but you/we should trust them as being correct.

YOU ARE WRONG! Toyota is an import brand and must be wonderful to perfect. The Taurus must be crap because it's a domestic, at least so according to our resident 'experts' here

maybe you should get your head out of the SAND. You just believe everything you want to believe despite ALL THE EVIDENCE that I've provided indicating that imports are all over better cars in all areas.
sheesh.

You have provided no evidence, only trash talk out of ignorance. Only a fool will claim domestics are crap. Especially if said fool has never owned one.
