The Subaru has been christened
Pics are shitty but you get the idea.
I love driving on snowy roads... I just don't trust anyone else.

How deep of snow will a subbie go through before it starts to bottom out and you're fucked if you stop.
obviously it depends a lot on the type of snow, but you know generally

I'll let you know when I find out. We got about 4-5 inches last night and I haven't had a problem yet.

It's got to be better than the Wally Wagon, and I never came close to getting that car stuck. Even in a foot of snow. Closest I came was when I parked it in a snow bank and it snowed around the car back in undergrad.

Re: The Subaru has been christened
Well i wouldn't figure you'd have any problems with 4-5"
My guess is somewhere around 8-10" it might start to suck. I've just never known anybody with one that knew how to drive. Just Curious.

I am really a bad judge at that kind of stuff... distances I mean. COuld have been more snow, I don't know.
There was a time snow was scraping up against the front bumper of the Evo. I was able to drive through that okay, but ended up turning around because I didn't want the bumper to get scratched. So, however high the Evo's bumper is wasn't a problem either... even when stopped.

ahh, yes. the ole 'hood dump' test. it's a shame they don't write more about it in the magazines.

If it doesn't eat away the paint, then it's a quality car.
