Bought a new car.
Picked me up a new DD today... 2007 2.5i. I've been looking to getting a newer DD for a while, and every time I made a list of cars that met my wants, the 2.5 always was at the top. I've been pricing out some of these for a while, and was originally planning on waiting until spring, but I saw this on Autotrader and it was too good to pass up. Test drove it Tuesday; payed for it Wednesday; picked it up today. Less than 9k miles. She's still a baby.
So, anyone want an unmolested 94 TSi?

I honestly didn't know what the hell you were talking about. I looked around Google and saw a lot of articles about the Legacy 2.5 GT DD and I took a stab at it.
Imprezas are nice too

Oh shit...I have an explanation for my confusion...
I didn't see any pictures at all when I looked at this thread earlier. I just saw the text and there were no pics or empty space below the text where anything would be. Now the pictures are there. That's why I look like a fuckwad (well...one reason, anyway)
My connection was kinda bogged down so I reset my modem and router, and now boom...I can see pics.
And now that I can clearly see it's an Impreza that's one sharp looking car

Are you going to put a 4G63 in it?

I hear it drops right in with the current drive-train.

Beautiful. My parents have the same car, as a wagon though. 2.5i, manual transmission, black on black.
Wonderful car. Sounds good too.

SBF, try to convince the wife that now isn't a good time to think about having children. especially with the economy looking to be mired in mud for the next couple of years.
it's best to wait 5yrs.
then go car shopping.

Re: Bought a new car.
I've added a WRX to my list of possibilities. I don't plan on buying anything soon, at least until we figure out if we want to buy a house, but I keep thinking about what I'd want. A WRX would be fun.

The engine definitely rumbles... a lot more than I thought it would because my mom's doesn't as much. Maybe it has something to do with her's being a 2.0 and has a turbo muffling the exhaust? Anyway, I think mine is 'rumblier' and I like it that way.

Re: Bought a new car.
But anyway, I am liking the car. It definitely doesn't have the balls the Talon does, but that's to be expected. The Sub is much safer for my g/f and me with the airbags, AWD, and the crash test ratings. I am going to miss boost on a DD but I think this Sub will do me just right... plus I have the Evo for when it's rompin' time.
I guess I am a Mitsubie guy now.
Ok, that was lame.

Yea, I wouldn't mind having the WRX spoiler in the back or something, but don't really care either way. When buying a used car, you take what you can get. I am happy it came with the fogs.

No, those should be wheels. I think all Imprezas of that year had real aluminum rims.

Those are wheels, 16x6.5.
Why would I put moding money into a 2.5i when there's an Evo sitting right next to it in the garage? The logic makes no sense. It's my daily car... it's not supposed to be slammed and have fat wheels.

I think it shares the same brake system as the WRX. Anyone know for sure... Wally, B_J?

it makes perfect sense. just because its a dd doesnt mean it has to look like an econobox. im just saying sportier wheels and a slight drop, nothing expensive.

Front rotors are the same, but the calipers and pads and rear rotors are not.
Re: Bought a new car.
Does it have some pep? I drove a 2.5 Forester and I was surprised how quick it was for 170 hp.
