2009 Ferrari California
I think it looks pretty good, but I'm not crazy about the name, even if it is a tribute thing.
The California will represent a number of firsts for Ferrari:
* the first front engined Ferrari with a V8
* the first to feature a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, it is the only option as opposed to a traditional Ferrari gated-manual
* the first with a folding metal roof
* the first with multi-link rear suspension
* the first with direct petrol injection.
According to some sources originally started as a concept for a new Maserati,[2] the resulting expense to produce car needed the Ferrari badge to justify the ideal return on the investment. The California represents a new, fourth model range for the company,[3] with its target market including women, with presently just one in 20 of Ferrari buyers being female.[2]

i think it's a nice-looking car, but i wish it had a little less of the air duct treatment.

I still feel the rear end looks a little odd. I'll need to see it in person. Someone buy me one?

Re: 2009 Ferrari California
i dont like the single taillights, double would look better. and i dont like the vertical tailpipes, its like theyre trying to make it look like a TVR or something.

Remind me which of the above points are good things.
* the first front engined Ferrari with a V8 instead of a V12
* the first paddleshifter instead of true manual
* the first with a folding metal roof, instead of the more focused options of last resort cloth roof or - better yet - coupe body
* the first with multi-link rear instead of double wishbone
* direct petrol injection is probably a good thing
So basically, they threw the Ferrari badge on a Maserati.

Re: 2009 Ferrari California
From a purely subjective standpoint, that car is fucking ugly. I cannot put it down to a single point, so consider this my complete rejection of all the current Ferrari stylings.
Please give me the stunning elegance of a 360, or a 456, or even a 550/575. This newer shit is getting uglier with each new model.

After further review the California is not as ugly as fuck, but it is nowhere near as pimping as this bad boy:
