And I have no idea who he was. I recognize the name, but they asked me to join his "memorial" facebook page.

He was one of those "cool kids", so, needless to say I was in a different social subgroup. But all the usual niceties are comeing out - how 'generous', and 'kind', and 'thoughtful', and 'caring' he was.

Not long after I graduated high school, someone in my class died and everyone was putting these "In memory of [THAT DOUCHE]" stickers in the windows of their cars.

Never mind that the reason the guy died was because he was driving a car load of people who were overdosing on coke and heroin (himself included) and he had a heart attack and flipped the car off the road killing himself and all but one other person in the car and none of them were belted in.

But awwwww poor guy >\

Yeah, a bunch of dickheads from my HS died in car wrecks and the like in the few years after graduation. I tried to feel sorry. Tried and failed. It wasn't that I reveled in their deaths; I just didn't care.
Perhaps a Clarence Darrow quote/paraphrase: "I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction."

I have no idea what people from my high school did afterwards. I immediately moved out of state.

One of my friends from high school is studying to be a priest now though. Interesting, because he is the most foul mouthed motherfucker you'll meet. Should be interesting sermons.

weird, i completely missed this thread.

my HS was also populated with several kids that promptly killed themselves off after driving cars in an alcohol-induced haze, after celebrating their 'freedom'.
