tried on some mini wheels

borrowed a mates mini cooper s wheels to try on the materia, mainly to see what size wheels i should hunt for
7x17 ET46 with 205/45
and they even suit the car, almost. . .

and i'm satisfied how they come in front (can't go wider, cause they'll stick out, or rub against the shocks)

they have to come out at least a centimeter in the back, though, just to evade the rubbing. . . and for show, of course :)

not too bad, eh?


i had to tilt the camera a bit to get the car to appear level.



also, since the wheels were off anyway, i decided to shoot a pic of the exhaust. . .

and craziest routing i've seen in quite some time (and i also might start to think about some kind of stiffer suspension, appearantly)

also, my pics are shit, i took them with my phone. live with it

They actually do suit the car. In some ways, the car brings those wheels down to its level.

we're now almost a year later, my mate who lent me the wheels just bought a mini cooper s, but not with these wheels........
he doesn't like them. they're too heavy for his taste... i think it's really awesome i taught him the difference between wheel weights... he really noticed this on his MG......


but anyway, in other news, since April, i've had other wheels on the materia. i found the wheels i've been searching for ever since i got the car.. too bad they're ridiculously heavy, but the looks and the price make up for that.... until i find better, anyway...

i also would like to add that project mu hc+ pads don't exist for a european materia.
