actually there are no 240s, they have s13, s14, and s15 silvias so they already have the sr20. you can put a vq in it or the skyline nur engine. there are only a couple us spec nissans in this game, most are jdm.

i have alot of cars now. i have at least 1 fwd, awd, and rwd for each performance class. actually the highest fwd one i have is a b class srt-4 because after that they just get dominated by the rwd and awd cars no matter what you do.

I originally thought the GTR sucked, until I realised how misleadingly quick it actually travels. I think the low-revving engine makes it a bit weird.

And suck it up, lefty. There's nothing wrong with the original model dictating the drive side. They'd get a lot more complaints if every car was either L or RHD. My only gripe with model choices is that they used the 2.0L 69 Z instead of the legendary 240Z that won rallies and established Japan as a legitimate sports car manufacturer.

So let me get this straight...you can make custom cars and have them installed into this game, sort of like the old days of Need for Speed?
Like maybe I could commission somebody to make one of my old designs and I could actually drive it?! Thatta be sick!

Better to stick with the twin turbo Supra-powered 3 Series anyway.

And console racing games.

theres pc racing games where you can create your own cars from scratch? because if he's just talking about custom paint/body parts, etc. on existing models, forza has pretty much limitless potential.

well it used to be that you could, if you had the time/money/software/patience/talent, you could build your own car in 3d design software, and use several other programs to tie performace parameters onto it and group all that together in a .viv file, and install into the NFS game that the files compatibility corresponds with. but this was in the OLD, old days like in Hot Pursuit and High Stakes, and of course only on the PC, because they were so easy to hack a caveman could do i--

Oh, those are licensed car packs that are made available by Microsoft. You can't import your own. Still, there have been some interesting developments with the process, such as with Microsoft teaming up with Jalopnik to have a reader poll to determine what cars will be put into an upcoming summer pack, and they voted in cars like the Dodge Omni GLHS, the AMC Javelin, and some other odd cars.

i have too many cars, and im trying to give them all the perfect paintjob, perfect wheels, perfect power/suspension balance, etc/ and it's driving me nuts. i wish you could sample mods out before buying them. i have a solstice with a c6 z06 engine but it's still not quite as fast as the vette and doesnt handle quite as good. im thinking it has to do with the fact that the widest tires i can put on it are like 255s, but im not sure.

Because of the racing series we're doing on SA, I have TONS of prepared cars with full paint jobs that I had to put together, usually one per week if I didn't have a chance to reuse a car, which has been rare.

Before the series though, the different class cars I had ready for online racing had become woefully inadequate as time went on and the pubbies had gradually improved their cars. The racing series has helped me learn a lot about how to tune things right.

I agree with you. Why are there 22" chrome ugly ass ghetto wheels that belong on an high-ridin '87 Caprice.

Where are the manufacturer aftermarket wheels? There are a lot of good ones out there. There needs to be more wheels in this game.

Oh and some wheels can't be painted either. Are you kidding me? In real life I could take a bomb can and paint chrome wheels if I wanted.

On the earlier mentioned subject of the XBox update allowing you to use a thumb drive, I picked up a 16GB SanDisk drive and it works like a charm. I'm moving all of my XBLA games, Indie games, demos, and video clips to it. That'll help immensely.
