The only other FPS I've played is the Halo series.
TF2 came out like last year...

TF2 came out late last year.
Edit: Dammit, that'll teach me not to refresh when the thread had been sitting open for 20 minutes.

Wait, aren't you guys talking about Team Fortress? Then it must've been the original. Whatever it was, I played it a long time ago.

The M1 Garand was just awesome in it too, like the the sniper rifles were in COD2. I'd pretty much use it on every level.
I found the maps at leat 10x too large. How can you innately know where people are?
If you can't take on new users that aren't totally dedicated then you have a problem.

Yeah, the maps could be a bit big but vehicles were awesome in those games. I'd love to see a modern warfare game with some hummers and shit in it.

well battlefield 2 was like that, it had a large variety of modern vehicles from different countries. m1 abrams, hummers, f22 raptors, t-80s, etc. but like if you saw someone in a tank and you werent rocket infantry you were pretty much fucked. even if you were rocket youd have a hard time not dying unless the guy was a total noob. it took a minimum of like 3 rockets to kill one. not to mention how dominant people good at flying planes and choppers often were. i god pretty good at flying the planes and would routinely get 50+ kills and around 5-10 max deaths per game. still a pretty fun game overall even though it only had one game mode, but probably a bit too realistic for alot of people to enjoy it too much.

There weren't that many spawning areas on the maps really. After having played the game a while you just begin to have a pretty good idea about where they're going to be, based on where you are at the time and where you last saw people.911 wrote:dunnas wrote:I was pretty good at knowing where people would be so that was never a problem.

They were nothing like 10 times too large for 24 players, maybe some were about 50% too big.

Bad company is exactly like that too. it's probably more like 4 rockets though. There are other ways of killing them but nothing particularly easy if you're caught off guard a bit.Honor Kleinberger wrote:Omni wrote:911 wrote:dunnas wrote:I was pretty good at knowing where people would be so that was never a problem.

shooting them in the back was really the only time it could ever take 3. if you shot it head on or in the sides it took at least 4 or 5.

Re: All kids are good for
oh jesus fucking christ. i had to download a mandatory patch for cod 3 last night, wasnt sure what it did. but now im running around in the game and noticing all of the german war flags have iron crosses in the center instead of swastikas like they used to. people are such sensitive fucking crybabies. "wahh! waahhhhh! a swastika!! wahhhhh!!!!!" :whatever:
if a swastika really upsets you that much, perhaps you shouldnt be playing a world war 2 game. fucking pussies.
