I still haven't finished Stick of Truth but I imagine Dark Souls will give you more playability.

I said South Park but I don't really know what Dark Souls is.

Look it up. Billed as the hardest RPG ever. Basically an open world where you pick a class of fighter/sorcerer, and go and kill a shit ton of enemies and bosses. But there is little back story, and the game doesn't tell you how to play or what all the little side missions and trinkets you find do.
The made DS2 easier for noobs like me (if you die 12 times on your way to die again, the enemies along the way stop respawning, where in the first two games they didn't. You always had to kill the same 2, 4, 12 things before you got to the area that was giving you issues), and the community is big enough where pretty much everything in the game has been found out so you know what treasure A does if given to person B, and so on.

I try to stay away from really hard games for the most part. They get me pretty angry.
Remember back in the Nintendo days when most every game was hard as shit?

Speaking of Nintendo, I'm having an issue with the last world in Super Mario 3D World. Spent all this time getting every star, every stamp, and every top of the flag poles just to unlock the hardest fucking level EVER.

When "Nintendo difficult" actually meant something.Honor wrote:I try to stay away from really hard games for the most part. They get me pretty angry.

I'm still not finished with Stick of Truth, but I think I'd avoid buying it. It's a good game, it's fun, and it has some great jokes and setpieces, but if you can GameFly it, I'd suggest doing that. I'm far enough along to see that it's going to have little replay value, aside from trying a different class. The structure of the game has you go back and re-explore stuff at least a few times, so it'll be a while before I feel like taking up a different class and slogging through it all again.
For the 100% completionist side of you, it might be worth having it to collect all of the Chinpokomon, all the friends in the Facebook friends list, all of the side quest items, etc. But otherwise, definitely rent this game, borrow this game, wait for it to drop to 40 bucks, whatever...it's worth playing through. It's not worth 60, IMHO.

Oh yeah I definitely wouldn't pay $60, sorry.
I do have some games to trade in that I no longer play. But even so I'd wait until it dropped in price or a used copy came available cheap.
Oh, and saw a commercial for it last night, and it showed the final boss battle which I thought was supposed to be a surprise of sorts? Lame.
