Boston Marathon Bombings

Fuuuuck. Just fucking horrible. I don't even really know what to say. Luckily only 2 people died, but still that's 2 too many. I hope there aren't any other bombs and if there are, I hope they find them.

I've seen some truly gruesome pictures. It's all terribly heartbreaking. People just wanting to enjoy a race.

ive seen a pretty awful picture of a guy being wheeled out of there minus his legs -pretty horrific. makes you wonder wtf is wrong with some people in the world.

just hope this isnt going to be an excuse to wage another war somewhere.

I think we are all around the same age to remember many domestic terrorists. Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, etc.

The difference is that back then those events were called crimes, not acts of war. Since 9/11 the terminology changed to 'act of war' and allowed the politics and fear mongering of govt. to create the never ending 'war on terror' which is 100% BULL SHIT!

It just gets so frustrating to turn on the radio or news and hear people linking this to 9/11 and the war overseas. We still have unhinged assholes in America, people!

Considering no said to be terrorist group has said they were responsible seems to tell me that yeah it was some ahole with a beef and wanting to take it out on others. But I bet the govt was/is hoping they could link it to Al Queda, Iran and/or North Korea, all the the while keeping Americans scared shitless. To which most will be scared of their shadows.

Holy shit, looks like the cops found the bombers. The police shot one of them, and are searching for the other one,but it looks like there's been all kinds of shootouts and carjackings, plus it seems one officer has been killed. They've been setting more bombs around the city of Watertown.

I'm not sure exactly what, but it says something when planning and bomb-making expertise are less effective than buying some guns and dressing as Batman.

Although not a funny situation, I did find it amusing that the London Marathon organisers put out a statement re the security for the race. As though the bombers were going to go around specifically targeting marathons...

Yes. As others have stated, I've seen way worse. The fact that piece of shit is still in one piece qualifies it for a "fairly" at best.
