whitey bulger. the guy wasn't well-known outside of new england, but he was a fairly significant mob boss for a time.

there's a book called 'black mass' that does a decent job of profiling his life and is an interesting read. can probably find it at a used book store for just a few dollars.

the reward for this guy was huge. at least a million dollars, i think. amazing that he was hiding in plain sight.

He's like 81. Not much life left in him, you think he's really scared of a "life sentence?" He basically got away with everything he did, so getting caught doesn't really matter much now..
