LAPD shoots the fuck out of a pickup looking for a cop killer, wounds two innocent women who aren't even driving the same kind of truck they're looking for.

They put at least 30 rounds into that Tacoma (they were looking for a Titan). Miraculous that they didn't kill them.

So what do we think... are the cops going to be charged with something along the lines of attempted murder for shooting up completely innocent women going about their daily business, or will they be given a slap on the wrists for their 'honest mistake'?

well, they're currently being systematically hunted down by a psychotic former officer, so they've adopted a shoot-first-ask-questions-later approach to taking him down. unfortunately, they'll probably end up killing an innocent (or maybe several) before this guy gets taken down (or they all get massacred).
hey, you can never accuse the LAPD of being competent.

I really think they should just call in the National Guard to take him down. He did technically "declare war" on the LAPD. He's also a highly trained and capable marksman. I say they bring out the big guns; if it's war he wants, it's war he'll get.


of course, i can sense an impending "based on a true story" coming out of this eventually (this is LA after all).

They're now saying that there is a body inside but haven't been able to confirm anything because of the heat of the smoldering building. It'll take some time to be sure it was him.
