Seriously? Shut the fuck up.

Disney has done a lot for Lucasfilm for 20 plus years. The purchase makes sense. George Lucas needed someone to take the reins that has the talent and the ability to make the franchise continue to work and be profitable.

Disney can't fuck it up more than Lucas did. In fact, if Disney rereleases A New Hope with all the remastering, but Han shooting first, I'll go see all their new Star Wars movies twice, no matter how bad they are.

Correct. The...luckily Lucas already ruined both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises with shitty sequels. A few more won't make the originals any less good.

I still think the 4th Indiana Jones was decent. Better than Temple of Doom. Also, the most recent three Star Wars weren't great - but it was really just the guy who played Darth Vader in the last two, and all the over acting in the romance scenes that killed it for me. The rest of the movies were't half bad. Ewan McGregor was pretty good as a young Obi Wan.

Here's a thought... stop trying to cash in by remaking every fucking movie thats ever been made and actually, you know, add some creativity to the creative industry, and then you wont have to worry about things like this :thwak:

George Lucas, already an insanely wealthy man, seemed to get much richer on Tuesday, with Disney acquiring Lucasfilm-- of which Lucas was previously the sole owner-- for a jaw-dropping $4 billion. That's actually a reasonable price to pay when you consider what they're getting, but it's still an enormous paycheck, and maybe a slightly ridiculous one for a man who has absolutely no need for the money.

But say what you will about where Lucas took the Star Wars franchise with the prequels: the man who gave us Jar Jar Binks is also a mensch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the vast majority of the money Lucas made from the Disney sale will go to charity, specifically his George Lucas Educational Foundation.
