Kaepernick choked hard. he and the rest of the team finally woke up and started playing ball after that blackout, but he was visibly a hot mess the whole time. and then they get within a stone's throw of the lead with two minutes left and he chokes again.

I can't put it all on Kaepernick. The 9ers defense was a shitpile most of the night, whiffing on a bunch of tackles and not getting pressure on Flacco. Kaep's receivers were also dropping balls at inopportune times.

Baltimore came out ready to kick ass. They played a great game.

I've persevered with NFL in the past but this time i just couldnt do it. Its so fucking boring. How do you maintain concentration for the 5 hour marathon of stop start bullshit? They could condense it into half an hour at most.

the stop-start and "we'll be right back after these messages" every five minutes is annoying but when some guy returns a punt 108 fucking yards for a touchdown, or your team stops the other guys on the 2-yard line on a fourth down, it's all pretty worth it. besides the super bowl commercials take the sting out of the constant stalling and sandbagging.
your football is popular there, our football is popular here. if you're fanatical about something, you just don't care how boring it seems on paper.

no, it was plain to see that for the first half up to the blackout, San Francisco forgot they had a game to play that day. but all i noticed whenever the camera focused on Kaepernick was that "Holyshitwhatthefuckamigonnadonow" look on his face, probably attributed to the fact that he's not really a starter, and this was only his tenth. He finally pulled it together and ran a few himself, even getting a touchdown at one point, but you could tell he was getting nervous the closer they closed the gap, and he just started overthrowing after the 2-min warning.
Baltimore did come to play, and they played very well. San Fran just didn't, and I was very disappointed. The 49ers were undefeated in the Super Bowl until then, but i guess you can't win 'em all.

Then don't watch it, and don't complain. I can't fathom how someone could find football boring, and soccer exciting. I like playing soccer, but watching it is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. They should just air it on CSPAN, or maybe during those few moments when a PBS telethon get too exciting and the producers feel that their octogenarian demographic needs to come down off the adrenaline high.

I dont find football boring. The 30 seconds of game time per hour is exciting. Its the endless stoppages for the players to have a rest from their 5 seconds of exercise, commentators to provide 'analysis' and sponsors to force their latest crap down your throats that makes it oh so tedious. It's basically a 4 hour commercial with a short break for sport every now and then.

I suppose there is an advertisement free, non stop version of NFL though. It's called rugby.

I suppose for Baltimore, a victory celebration that involved only one murder and a few tramplings is a plus.

I've always found rugby interesting, but never had a chance to really get into it; you just never see it around here. Sure its a little different than football, but not so much that you won't understand what's going on.

Didn't watch more than 10 minutes of the replay this year (live is around midday Monday), although I do find it interesting.

I'm personally starting to get excited about Aussie Rules kicking off in a month. One of my team's main rivals has been accused of having peptides injected directly into its players stomachs for the first half of last season. So hopefully the fallout is catastrophic...
