Seriously dude, I still applaud you for going out and doing what very few of us have the time/money/talent to do.

Damn, that looks sweet. I might have to pick up Forza 4.

Thanks, man.

clockbreaker wrote:Talon what's that camera called and how easy is it to mount inside/outside the car?

It's this:

http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-HD-HERO2-Motorsports-Edition/dp/B005WY3TMA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1343864625&sr=8-2&keywords=gopro+hero2

All you need is a memory card (has to be one of the high speed ones). I just got the 32gig card so I wouldn't have to worry about it. So, for ~$300 you have everything. The mount is very strong, and I haven't had an issue with it yet. I've heard it will pull out small dents but I haven't tried it, haha. I do, however, tether it to something on the inside of the car incase it gives the camera isn't lost, which you can see here:

I do have to say wind noise it horrible on anything above ~40mph. That is why my videos from the other thread have music because it sounds like shit. It does have an external mic jack though so I got one of those and will see what happens (you also need a different case).

Oddly enough, the place on the hood actually sounded pretty good. Obviously, the aerodynamics have a ton to do with it...

You should get one. I'll toss it on the Evo one of these days...

Have you tried to mount it in front of the speedo yet?

0-60 and top speed runs. Post them on YouTube and say you were "on the Autobahn" wink wink, nudge nudge.

Nope. It comes with sticky mounts but I don't think I want to mount one on my steering column. You could always use the window mount on your driver's side window (window rolled up) and just point it in that direction. You probably wouldn't have to worry about wind noise there either...

I think it'd be cool to have one pointed right at the gauges and another on the outside of the car, then overlay them.

GoPros are cool but it seems like every other skier out here has one getting 'sick footage braugh'.

I'll probably get one this winter anyway.

Yikes. You don't drive to and from the track on those, do you?

P.S., looks like you could run a bit more negative camber.

11 track days total. They're the only tires I've used since I bought the Acura. Yikes... :roflmao:

That's the left-front. It takes the most abuse. The others aren't quite as bad, but still pretty bad. I'll get new ones on before the next season. THat huge gash is relatively new. I am not sure when it happened exactly, but something sure did a number on it. I usually rotate them at least once a season and once I noticed that, I put that tire to the left-rear and am hoping it lasts...

Yep. Drive with them to the track, on the track, and back home. They stay on all summer, regardless where I drive it.

I know it. I need to get some adjustable tie-rods or something. I can't remember what the part is called, but I know the camber can't be adjusted with the OEM parts. I am wanting about 2* up front and .5* in the back. The winter gives my bank account time to recoup, and I'm planning on getting new tires and the camber adjusters next spring.

You should just need a pair of these for the front. Pretty cheap. I ran them in my Legacy when it was lowered on WRX struts, and I was able to dial in up to 2 degrees of negative camber. I kept it at 1.2 though, .2 in the rear. Made it a bit tailhappy. ^_^

Edit: My Napa store has them for about $25. They're either 14MM or 16MM depending on when your RSX was built.

Looks like only the aftermarket makes adjustable control arms for the rear.

Make a really good video and send one to them. Maybe they'll use it in a commercial like the one and only one they run during any motorsports event on TV.
