Why is the lincoln town car more expensive than the MKS?

I understand that the livery service business is basically owned by lincoln, but still...

Only because it's bigger. And people will pay the money.

In the last several years, I've rented a Town Car, and I've rented a Kia Amanti. Aside from the Amanti being a bit smaller, there's not a nickel's worth of difference in how they drive, how they look, and how comfortable they are, and the Amanti's $20,000 cheaper. I wouldn't buy either car, but if I was in that market, no way would I buy the Town Car.

Because you're basically paying for the name and the (percieved) prestige. Fuck the Town Car. The livery business can turn to Cadillac or Chrysler if they need to. So seriously Ford, if you can't afford to completely reengineer the thing, then put it out of it's (our) misery.
