They did a bit on fuel conservation...Clarkson was in charge of it, so you can guess how that went. It culminated in a Prius going flat out on the test track vs. an M3 that was following to see which one got the best mileage.

They have a new segment this season called "Top Gear Stunt Man." Basically they do some sort of overly-ambitious stunt with the world's worst stunt driver.

Clarkson drove an F430 Scuderia.

And as Tailhappy pointed out, there was an extremely annoying Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Up until the police car challenge, it was a decidedly average episode.

finalgear.com ftw - the "star" needs to deleted though. Decent enough episode. The police car bit was amusing but felt more scripted than normal.

Hmm, wally's taken to drinking in the mornings.

I thought it was a very entertaining episode. The stars sucked and the stunt was lame, but the rest was good. Clarkson getting airborne in the Fiat during his first sideswipe, then attempting it a second time was great.

I'm trying to pace the season properly by not watching the other two eps yet.

You'll have awesomely entertaining US and Australian version to watch once this season is over so there's no need to pace it.

I agree. It's had some good moments, but it's not really wowed me too much. The past episode was good, but didn't quite live up to the hype, which has been kind of typical of this season. Jeremy Clarkson had said on the website that the GT-R race this past episode was, "I think the best film we've ever made."

Well, it was good and entertaining, but I could think of several that were better. The North Pole race, the drive to New Orleans, the powerboat vs. Merc vs. Hamster on a bike vs. Stig on public transport race, the Botswana cheap car challenge....they've done better. They've done worse too, but they've done better.

They ran it and it's gonna premier tomorrow, but the time is already posted on Wikipedia and several other places.

that thing is ridiculously fast. nissan really have set a new benchmark as to what a car can do....and its not even a V-Spec let alone all the other editions that are doubtless going to appear

This weekend's episode was the last of the season, and it was probably the best of the season as well. The England vs. Germany challenge was gold

Their entrance to the challenge and the 2 car race were two of the funniest moments they've ever had

Best moment all season

So far this season has been lacking compared to the last. The search for the great road, the R8 vs. 911 (with the best shot all season making it into this year's opening credits), the drive across Africa...
The cinematography has also become very self conscious and edgy, losing a bit of its polish in the process.

It's still good and way better than the recent 5th Gears I've seen - which remains the default second best car show around - but the second half needs to be more inspired.

So far? The season finished a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't seen 5th gear episodes on EZTV for many many months either. There was only about a 2 month period that I started downloading them and then i haven't seen them since.

all the fifth gear presentors are gay.

and they prefer a nissan note over a daihatsu materia, even though it's slower, less practical and more expencive, cause it's made in brittain.

yeah, 5th gear is pretty much just gay. I think when I started downloading the episodes it must have been a quiet patch last year like we're in now.

September can't come soon enough. Although I do have the olympics to keep me occupied for the next week and a half.
