I interviewed like 7 people yesterday all from circuit city. Its funny though cause most of them were people that used to run deliveries, or worked away from customers and it looks like circuit city threw them on the sales floor from lack of other options. None of them got hired.

i didn't go, but i'm not surprised. the firms that are handling the liquidation will probably sell the good stuff to another retailer at wholesale prices.

yeah, store closings are well orchestrated now.

and my guess is their inventory is still superlow from after christmas. You won't get good deals unless its on display models.

I just saw a commercial for the regional electronics chain HH Gregg. I can't believe that Circuit City went under while HH Gregg is still expanding, despite the fact that HH Gregg is the worst place to go to buy anything.

My father-in-law went there yesterday and bought a 50" plasma that cost $2500 for $1600 and a blu-ray that cost $500 for $300. He didn't throw out any brand names so I don't know exactly what he got.

Fuck that place, they didn't even have any good prices. We wanted to see about getting a camcorder but prices are better online. No wonder they went out of business - losers.
