I feel vindicated that the Jaguar isn't in the Failure Tier but the 3DO is.
But WTF is the Vectrex and the CDX doing in the high tier?

i don't know who compiled the list, but my first assumption was that it was based solely on each one's library and not the technology.

Then the Vectrex, Odyssey2, Fairchild Channel F, and the Pippin wouldn't even be on the damn list at all.
Re: know your consoles

He's obviously retarded. All you have to do is see the dreamcast on top of that list to know that the guy who made it is an idiot. The dreamcast was a piece of shit. And come on, he puts the regular xbox above the 360? An atari in the high tier? Idiot.

hahah yeah. I can't deny that. I love me some reading. Plus I'm going back to school.
I enjoy video games. But I always find I get a head ache after about an hour and a half.

It was a fantastic game. Truth be told I actually played all of the games in the Jedi Knight series. There were, I think, 3.

What the fuck dude? The Dreamcast was a great system when it came out, it was so much better in many ways than the Playstation. It just all fell apart when the PS2 came out and Sega decided that they weren't going to make any more games for it. I think it could have done really well. I almost felt that it was a form of a predecessor of the XBOX.
I mean it shouldn't be the "GOD TIER" but it should be up towards the top.

Re: know your consoles
And why is the Wii on the Failure Tier? Nintendo sold more Wii's and DS's in the last year than the other two systems.

Re: know your consoles
the fact that the wii is in the failure tier alone makes the list worthless. there is absolutely no measure by which the wii could be placed there. arguably, there should be 4 systems in the god tier, based on social impact. nes, snes, ps2, and probably the wii, given how it has exploded.
i don't own one, wouldn't, and am quite happy with my ps3. but you can't deny that nintendo did smash through to the mainstream in a way that sony and microsoft really never could.
and sbf, you were like 30 seconds ahead of me...

Yeah, the DC was very good and had some great games, but when PS2 came out, that was it for DC. PS2 didn't have shit for games until a year after the launch, but the hype machine got everyone standing in line and shooting each other for PS2s on launch day, and that was that.
I think the PS1 deserves to be in the God Tier more than PS2. PS2 had some healthy competition from the XBox and the Gamecube, but the PS1 was in a league of its own. Sega, Nintendo, Atari, and 3DO had nothing for them and looked completely lost by comparison. When you bury two console companies (Atari, 3DO) and start hammering nails in the coffin for a third (Sega) with one console, in your first foray as a console manufacturer, that's God Tier status.
Re: know your consoles
My one favorite game on the Dream cast was Shenmue. I was so disappointed when Sega announced that they were discontinuing games right before Shenmue II was supposed to come out. It was only sold in Japan and Europe. Luckily, a friend of mine had acquired it with an emulator, so I was able to play a little of it.
I actually still have all of my original consoles, including my Atari 2600.

Shenmue 2 did come out on the XBox in the US, though.
Re: know your consoles
I didn't have one for a long time until about a year and a half before 360 came out. I'll have to see if I can find a copy though.
