We've been so dead at work, they paid me for 2 hours and 45 minutes yesterday and 2 hours today to stay out of the phone system and not do any work. I don't know how that saves the company money, but apparently it does.

They've been sending scores of people home if they request it, but I have to take it unpaid due to not having any vacation time left, and for at least the next week I can't take any more time off and meet my budget, so I've been staying. But since they're paying us not to work if we stay, it hasn't been all bad.
