How could he have not known this? I mean you'd figure he'd have checked this out first.

I love how he then asks "everyone to stand up", because "everyone is Joe the Plumber".
Like some sort of tragico-absurd version of "Simon says".

The CNN quote below. McCain "We will restore the automobile industry in America."
Funny in its what ticks me off is that GM wants the taxpayers to give them billions so that they can buy Chrysler, what a bunch of crap. Now we may see taxpayers buying companies for other companies. Christ this is shit, these regressive, outmoded Reaganesque capitalists. They are not capitalists they are corporate social welfare queens and scammers.
You want to fix the auto industry let is reorganize itself and yes that may mean all three may have to shrink to match lower global demand and spilt market segments. If govt. wants to invest in new technologies for a greener vehicles FINE but this is a partnership not a free handout for the automakers to then just waste this money away. The Big three are use to being fat lazy pigs and only when they seem to be up against the wall do they become more resourceful. They did it in the 80's and then coasted through the gas hog years of the 90's up to the early 2000's. Today they need to look at themselves and if that means restructuring and maybe shrinking for now so be it.

John Stewart last night had the segment about the regressives talking to Tito the Builder and Stewart using the cartoon character Bob the Buider (Tito's brother ) in a segment it was hilarious. All of it wrapped up with them all going rogue including them stating Shep Smith Fox news anchor.

Yeah, it's one thing to get some sort of government loan to subsidize the development of cars that get much better fuel economy and run on alternative energy sources...that's the kind of thing that can better the nation. But asking for $10 billion dollars so they can acquire someone else is bullshit. They should take the original loans and be fucking happy with that.
Besides...putting yourself another $10 billion in the hole so you can get your hands on Chrysler's $11 billion cash hoard...does that sound fucked up to anyone else? Maybe GM should go to one of those Check Into Cash/Payday Loans places and get the money.

what makes it even better is early in the campaign, he went to michigan and said basically "sorry guys, I can't save you, government can't restore the automotive industry to michigan" and now he's saying "i'm superman, i'll save everyone"
cake and eating it can't have.

If I were Joe the Plumber, I would be pissed that anyone would be trying to use me as a political pawn. Use me to get elected... have me back you to 'speak out' to blue collar workers, then forget I exist once you take office. Fuck you.
