The Dakotas and Montana are also heading that way. Which is really weird considering the popular vote seems to be tightening up in the last week or so. I'd think the bastions of conservatism would stay that way as things tighten up.

Obama may be the generational change that similar to what Reagan brought (along with his GOD DAMN Reaganomics which is a big part of the crisis today) 30 years ago.

Generations are changing and many in America along with its western developed allies/partners are looking at the world differently than those of the previous generations. The ability to connect outside conventional media and to in the comfort of your home search out info to learn has escaped the current Republican party. This is why Rovian negative ads are not working and why blowhards like Limbaugh and Hannity are more laughed at than believed today.

A lot of the polls which claim to show the race tightening seem to have some pretty serious methodological problems behind them.

For instance, a recent IBD / TIPP poll suggests the race is within 1.1 points. However, looking at their methodology they someone game to give McCain a 52 point lead among voters aged 18-24. :jay:

Yeah, I check out a lot of different polls through that site and elsewhere. I also check out gallup.com quite a bit...they seem to be right smack in the middle of where the polls seems to go. And www.electoral-vote.com.
