Re: What the hell?
I'd venture to say one of those tires exploded on the truck. I'm not sure what kind of protection there is over the tires but an exploding truck tire could definitely cause that kind of damage.

Re: What the hell?
We've done similar things, usually to check welds, etc.
but not sure why you'd see one on a hauler

On its way to the scrap yard?
Re: What the hell?
but why? You could just replace the doors and it'd be perfectly fine.Benfolio wrote:1300ZUK wrote:We've done similar things, usually to check welds, etc.

Curtain bags are blown too. Who knows what the other side of the car looks like. I've seen plenty of late model cars in junkyards with what seems like minimal damage.... but all it takes is a fucked up interior, engine/trans, or bent frame to total a car these days.

I'd guess, car was smashed on drivers side. Driver possibly injured or thought their car should have performed better. Someone came inspected vehicle and they cut holes in the door to compare/see if correct.

Re: What the hell?
I'd leave it as is.
We guesstimated the car was on the lower deck and the upper ramp came down on it somehow.... I doubt there was anyone in it at the time based on the lack of emergency personnel at the scene. Just one city police officer.

Re: What the hell?
Upon further review, it was left on the top of the transporter to high and hit a bridge nearby. Oopsie.
Re: What the hell?
Bet somebody got fired for that.
