it was straight where he passed me. I was able to hold him off all the way down a pretty crazy mountain pass.

Reminds me of the Subary driver who managed to hold me off for half of a mountain descent. Mind you, she was cutting to the wrong side around blind corners and I could have actually driven around the outside of her if I'd thought for a second that she wouldn't slam into the side of me.

But she wasn't in a Forrester and I wasn't in an R8 and the mountains are a lot smaller here. And it wasn't wet, come to think of it.

There's a couple of those around Edmonton. Great looking cars in person. Apparently one of the owners uses his as a daily driver (according to the Audi salesman I talked to ), took it down to Calgary in the dead of winter.

not using one of those as a daily car when you'd have one would be lunacy.

the correct thing to do is rapi it on a daily basis, just to fuck that VW piece of shit up.

haha i don't believe it was ever posted at either AF.

it was a white R8 that hit a tree and was nearly unrecognizable, save for the hatch over the engine.

which brings me to a question. what is that called? i can't be a trunk lid, since it's the engine bay. deck lid? reverse bonnet? engine hatch? metallic and glass hydraulically assisted engine umbrella?

If Wikipedia is anything to go by, the lid that covers the engine is the "hood" and the the cargo area is the "trunk," regardless of where on the car it is.

if that's your idea of twisty i feel sorry for you.

R8s are getting pretty common here, still dont think id want one. The base model seems abit bland and who the fuck wants a diesel supercar? Have you heard the R10?

The hills near Gainesville are as about as close as we get and those are more like gentle slopes. :roflmao:
