Your Top 5 Ugliest Cars List

So what would be on your personal list of the top 5 ugliest cars?

I'll generally give concepts and funky, daring designs a free pass. But Bloomberg was right about the Ssangyong Rexton.

The old Echo sedan had everything you'd want in that class of car wrong. Poor proportions, poor details and no redeeming touches whatsoever.

Even though they didn't sell the Aztek here, it is shocking in pics and I think I did see a real one somewhere once. It is horrible, whereas I don't find the Multipla ugly because the functionality of a tall glasshouse and low front is obvious.

The Edsel is obvious.

My all-time ugliest is still the VW Type 181--they call it "the Thing" for a reason. it looks like a shipping crate on wheels.

I always lump the AMC Pacer and Gremlin together, so that's basically just one straight vote there.

Any mid-70's Ford (Especially the Thunderbird) is probably going to find its way in there, along with most mid-90's Fords (Especially the Contour).

Pontiac Aztek of course. no list of ugly cars is complete without them, same deal with the Edsel.

Citroen 2CV--nothing could make the design of that car look worse, except maybe the drab colors it was offered in.

SsangYong Actyon (Worst than the Rexton, but really anything SsangYong is Hideous)
Nissan Cube
Chevrolet SSR
Pontiac Grand Prix
Humdinga

I disagree about the Yugo. Ugly, yes, but so was every other Econo box from the 80s. Performance, just as good as a Tercel. Crude workmanship? Well good enough for a $5000 car. No reliability? I've seen plenty of reliable Yugos. People just didn't take care of them cause it was a cheap car.

The Tercel was also utter crap. nobody gives them grief though because they're Toyotas. even that crook Bricklin says it's the worst car in the world (and he apparently prides himself on the fact that he actually sold them)
There's a reason "Yugo" is a punchline, and Volkswagens are icons.

That BMW looks like the inspiration for the new Saabs.
