Bloomberg's 50 Ugliest Cars Empty Bloomberg's 50 Ugliest Cars

Post by Swerve Thu Jun 03, 2010 6:23 am

There's something really weird about this list. It's probably not the obvious choices that always appear in every ugly cars list. I think it's the rest of the selection. Every car is either boringly uninspired - which does not necessarily make a car ugly - or slightly outside the box - which does not necessarily make a car ugly.

The S-Cargo is a brilliant design, intended to be a small business advertising tool. And it's name is S-Cargo and it looks like and escargo. Brilliant.

Also, there are a few forum favourites in the list. Let the good times roll...

I disagree with the Enzo (are they nuts?!), Prowler (seriously, are they?!), DeLorean, Brat, and SSR.

I whole heartedly agree with the VW Thing, Yugo, Cube, Gremlin and Pacer.

Plus the first generation Prius was waaaay uglier than the second.

I think the Tata Nano is actually a pretty good looking car. Brilliant packaging. The detailing is a little bit off, but the shape is really cool..

i started with comments on the things i disagreed with, but after 10 cars and 10 disagreements, i gave up...

they don't seem to like utes..

is it bad that i've owned 3 of them?

and the lack of examples like these makes that list lose all its credibility

Seriously???

There are about 10 vehicles on that list that to me are not ugly.

Prowler
Pt Cruiser
BMW 7 series
Enzo
VW Bug

Just to name 5

I think there were some really ugly ducklings but then again some cars on the list were designed by a pure utilitarian design approach.

most of them i dont really disagree too much with. the enzo IS ugly but i disagree with their comments of it being over the top. everything on it is to aid aerodynamics.

the 7 series is still fucking disgusting though.

I must also say I think El Camonos are pretty badass as well. Again, WTF were they thinking? But notice not a Ford Ranchero or Doge Rampage was on there either--and they're both WAY uglier.

The Enzo? That is actually one of the best looking cars of the past 50 years, that guy is a douche.

I haven't read the list, but I say it's bullshit, because it's one persons opinion.

I actually think it's at least two people's opinions. The list is a schizophrenic mess of bland and daring cars.

Weird list - more like a list of cars he doesn't like. The Chevette for example isn't that ugly - its not a good car but its at least not ugly.

The Enzo is ugly even if its fast

This is ugly
