It was not clear how the situation arose.
The man may well have thought long and hard about placing himself in the difficult situation.
I didn't notice the first one until after reading the second and looking for more. we need to writer of that article here.

Fire Rescue Officers spent more than an hour unsuccessfully attempting to remove the washers, before the man was taken into an operating theatre about 4.30am.
God...my job sucks, but I could be a firefighter who gets a call at 3:30 am to go try and remove washers from a guy's dick. Puts things in perspective.
