I'll totally do so, but you people ignore what is arguably the best action sport on the planet and it entirely confuses me.

And if you think you'll beat me at Madden you're fucked in the head.

Me and a good friend of mine started a season where we each picked a team (myself ATL, him CAR) and played two seasons in the same league. I won two super bowls and shut him out 48-0 on one occasion.

And I consider him to be a pretty good madden player.

NHL 08 was great, other than the cheating. Fucking ruins it.

I am going to have to think about it before buying 09.

PS - Hockey rules all.

PSS - LOL @ Madden 08 with Favre on the cover

I think I am going to get NHL 2k9 this year. They've had better game-play since I can remember, and now they have the duel stick deal. The only reason I went back to EA was because of that...

I mean, shit:

More impressive is the attention to detail come playoff time. If you play through a season and make it into the playoffs, you'll witness the famed tradition of the playoff beard. Here's the crazy part: 2K researched how each player grows a beard. You'll see accurate representations of length, thickness and speed of growth. For those players who've never been to the playoffs, 2K made educated guesses. On top of this, there's a special surprise for those skilled enough to claim the Stanley Cup.

If they did the stick thing right it might be better - the last version used the stick to deke but you had to press a button to shoot. Fuck that shit.

It still didn't specifically say that you can perform all shooting functions through the stick.

Beards or no beards I prefer good gameplay. And like EA or not for whatever reasons you may choose, they do provide that.

"Pro Stick Evolution takes a bite out of the competition with (most of) the controls relegated to the thumbsticks and triggers."

I think it's pretty safe to assume you can, you will just need to use a trigger to pass or something.

You were right beside me on how bad it cheats, and how much it ruined the game... The graphics in EA look better, the goalies look smoother, but that cheating thing. Heaven forbid the user go up by two goals... :curses:

I am going to d/l them both and see which I like better.
