that actually really fucking cool. and you can do two different things on the same computer? That sounds like somthing I've needed for years. I can't tell you the times that could have come in handy.

I don't. I literally got an LCD screen a couple years ago, and that's only because it was given to me.

Oh man, that is cool. I'm not sure I'd get enough out of it to justify the price (I'm basically an internet / word processor user when it comes to laptops).

Ya. I am looking at it for work. Lugging around a Monitor everywhere is going to get old fast.

I dont get it. A tiny 17" monitor with a laptop keyboard kinda defeats the purpose of multiple monitors in the first place. Looks like just a gimmick to me.

This would be awesome for work. I appreciate them giving me a wee little laptop for transportability but when I actually have to work off-site, it's a royal pain in the ass to compare documents and bounce between different documents and applications.

oh, no. I have an old lcd monitor that only goes up to 1024. even if i could, they'd probably all just display the same thing anyway.

While I admit it is no where near a 24" dual monitor setup. It is also not practical to lug around 2 external monitors plus a laptop. In fact, it is not really very convenient to carry an external monitor around when you change offices every few days.

I really don't know of a better solution for dual monitors on the go. If you do have one I would really like to hear it as I am desperately in the market for a portable dual monitor setup as well as a new laptop with the consulting work I just started doing. I already have the dual 24" + desktop at home for any work I do from home. Right now I carry a 21" monitor + 13" laptop whenever I work out of the clients office.

I gave up waiting for this shit and just ended up buying a Lenovo thinkpad with a docking station that could output to 3 external monitors. I am going to pick up one of these for a "dual laptop monitor" instead:

it's awesome and all, but i don't lug around laptops for screen size. even thin ones are a bit of a pain to carry around. they'll get thinner and thinner though, so it's good they're making this now.

Well. It seems they couldn't supply the first ones they made fast enough and the distribution became a total disaster. However, now they can't seem to sign on a distributor.

But you are generally correct. All you need is the portable monitor that plugs into your USB to solve the dual monitor on the go issue.
