C7 Corvette Stingray
All I can say is that I love it. The back end isn't as horrible as the renderings made it look.

Looks good. By the time we get to the C8 the Corvette and the Viper will be the same car.

The back end is indeed better than the renderings. It's far better than the putrid C6 rear. I still don't like it, though. Too overwrought.
The rest of the car is pretty neat, except for the ridiculously-conspicuous vents. I'm surprised they didn't put LED letters on them that flash like a New York Jets chant "V-E-N-T-VENTS VENTS VENTS"
Re: C7 Corvette Stingray
I agree the back needs to be redone, less gimmicky tail lights and stick with more timeless rounded type tail lights. Otherwise the car looks nice and the interior too, maybe a bit less sharp and edgy inside.

I like it, I think I like the back the most actually.
I feel like this is the first corvette in 30 years they actually attempted to design.

Re: C7 Corvette Stingray
Someone at the design studio clearly offered them a 2 for 1 deal

I don't like these pics. The roofline looks like a chopped pony car and four exhausts that close to each other is at least one too many. I didn't like it when the Elise and Viper took the California's headlights and I don't like it here.
It will probably look better in real life though...

Part of me really likes the angular design but I think it'll be dated too rapidly. The viper does the overall feel much better IMO.

Re: C7 Corvette Stingray
I have to say it looks badass. the q-windows are an interesting touch, too. I love them, but my dad is inconsolably disappointed in downright butthurt over that one little feature. I think the hood, fender vents are a little much, but they're functional, so I can overlook them. The rear I think is probably its best aspect. it's very angular and has actual surface development rather than the comparitively flat backs of the C4, 5, 6. I love the pseudo-boattail going on there, and the taillights don't bother me at all; there's still four of them, and it fits in with the rest of the design.
And, at the risk of starting a war, I dare say it's got the Viper beat in the badass looks department; the Stingray makes the Viper look muted and graceful by comparison, while the Vette is the over-the-top, in-your-face one. It's almost like they've traded design philosophies.
What I like most though is that it makes the C6 seem two generations old, something the C6 didn't really do for the C5.

Vette looks more like a Lambo, Viper looks more like a Ferrari.
