Sifl and Olly returns!

When I was a teenager, MTV's "Sifl and Olly Show" was pretty fun to watch. If you never heard of it, it's a couple of sock puppets doing a bunch of weird but funny skits (though admittedly hit-and-miss on the comedy; I thought they hit more often than missed, however). Even if you haven't heard of it, you might have possibly heard the song, "United States of Whatever" by Liam Lynch, who did the voice of Olly and performed it on the show.

The show was just resurrected this month into some 6 minute shorts for machinima.com, and while there's only a few episodes out so far, it's as if the show never stopped being aired.

Everything that was great 10-20 years ago is coming back. I wonder if our parents had this happen to them?

I have a hard time distinguishing between things that are genuinely becoming popular again, and things that the hipsters bring back ironically.

Can't think of something new, rehash old product that was popular 20 years ago.

Yeah, who the fuck has the BALLS to go "Hey, you know that really kinda cheesy movie that came out a decade or so ago, did okay at the box office, but could be a TON better if we added 3D, CGI, and moar exploasionz? LETS REMAKE IT WITH ACTORS NO ONE KNOWS!"

And don't get me started on 3D, why its back, and why I have to pay a shit ton of money to go see movies AGAIN just because they re-released them so I can see them with my kids on a large screen and wear some goofy glases over my glasses?

You wanna bring back 3D? Great. We needed glasses in the 80's, too. LOSE THEM, then I'll go see a fucking 3D movie. YOU HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.
