I'm flying to California for 5 dollars in about a week.
I'm more curious as to how who ever you bought it from thought you were serious that you would be flying in to pick up their 1988 Dodge Omni America.
You should have seen the E-mail exchange I had about buying the Camry...
More relevant to the topic, I will be buying an E36 328i this week assuming it passes the inspection.

Southwest = 78 dollar flight.
Stan McKay wrote:Yep. 88 Omni America. It has some "paint falling off" issues on the roof, but I'm going to address that in the spring. I fly to Nashville to get it. Stick shift ones don't come up often.
How can flying anywhere make the purchase of an '88 Omni an economical proposition?

^ Lulz, I think I paid like $90 to get to Chicago to buy the RSXS.
Then paid like $50 in tolls just to get out!

I paid $85 to get to Brisbane (plus $85 for my girlfriend). The only tolls were in Sydney but I didn't have any plates, so free travel on its motorways/bridge/tunnel!

Ah well, looks good anyway. Good project car. I've always had a soft spot for old Japanese sports coupes.

Not quite as bad as that - ImageServe seems to have trimmed the right-hand side of the pic, rather than actually resizing it properly.

I saw a nice 240 coupe over at a service station yesterday, looks like its one they're planning to sell, I was going to go inquire about it.

I wish Nissan would have imported the S15. I'd have probably gotten one of those over the Eclipse way back when. That car is gorgeous.

Re: RWD Sporty Commuter Fun Car Topic
Quoted for truth. Those were the most beautiful ones. And it's not like they had the same crash safety problem Skylines had; the frame and engine are largely the same, they just didn't want to sell it here anymore (probably because the coupe market sucked). Damn shame.Talon wrote:I wish Nissan would have imported the S15. I'd have probably gotten one of those over the Eclipse way back when. That car is gorgeous.
