Police cars where you live.
The charger thread inspired me.
Post pics just for fun.
Costa Mesa. They used to be all white a while back.
CHP Camaro. all but disappeared since their heyday. I keep hearing they got new ones now, but I haven't seen any yet, and searches turn up nothing.
these are starting to show up more often.
but I mostly still see these.

Re: Police cars where you live.
last time my small-town police corps they pulled me over they had a nissan primera stationwagon.
the neighbouring "city" has recently ordered a set of opel vectra TD V6 stationwagons.
and i got pulled over by a couple of unmarked volvos, and a marked citroen C8.
i'll see if i can go drive around and shoot some pics soon..

Re: Police cars where you live.
Louisville Metro mainly runs Crown Vics. I have seen a couple of unmarked Chargers here and there, but I imagine that since Ford has a sizable assembly plant here, the city is going to run mostly Fords for the forseeable future.
But technically, even though I have a Louisville address, I live in the suburb of Jeffersontown, and they have a sort of semi-autonomy compared to much of the county after the big city-county merger, so they have their own police force.
They run Fords too.

Re: Police cars where you live.
The staties use everything from Chargers to Expeditions
Chicago uses Tahoes, Impalas, and Crown Vics
Gotham City Uses Crown Vics
I think the Mount Prospect Police Dept is still using Dodge Monacos.......

Re: Police cars where you live.
We used to have these (and there are still alot around) in the city:
Now we have these (this one has an older light bar on it, most have a slim clear LED bar):
All Milwaukee PD cars are Crown Vics. Other support vehicles are Fords. There are a FEW Caprice wagons left in K9 duty. Maybe only one.
Sheriff's cars changed too recently from this:
TO this:
They only use Impalas, and Tahoes. They used to use Expeditions and before that, Explorers.
State Patrol:
Crown Vic mostly, seen only a handful of Chargers.
Oh yeah, I forgot I moved. Here's what out city cop cars are here:
New county I am in too, but can't find a pic of a car. They use Crown Vics.

Just this:
and this:
and this:
Although the local police station has an unmarked blue Monaro, so I have to remember to look out for that in traffic.

Chargers and Impalas basically. I hate how they're using such common street cars; I get nervous every time I see a black or white one.
