What if Button defends his title Empty What if Button defends his title

Post by Swerve Wed Apr 21, 2010 5:22 am

No one would have believed Button had a chance this year, despite McLaren being pre-season favourite. But he's leading the championship and seems to have the calmest head on the grid.

If he can pull this one off against the best competition, everyone will have to reassess his career as being more than just one lucky season in the fastest car. Although Red Bull (and Hamilton) would undoubtedly be very upset that they let this one get away.

both races were won on the the lottery of weather. when we have a string of dry races he'll drop off. hamilton is already showing to be a good half second or more faster than him

I don't understand. They're both British, but JB is actually a nice normal guy whilst Lewis is a corporate puppet. Why do all you guys support Hammilton so much?

Is it because I is black?

Hamilton seems like he could be very arrogant himself if only the puppet masters ever let go of the strings.

Still, you're the man in the know, at least as to how they behave in their home country when not just involving an F1 weekend. Is Jensen really that arrogant? You're not confusing confidence with arrogance are you?

I've met Lewis and quite a few of my dad's old racing buddies have met/know Button. Hamilton IS a cocky shit, but he's mellowed a lot in 2009. I have yet to hear a single positive thing about Button, or his dad.

Brits in general seem to despise successful Brits. I don't know why.

Button is the smarter driver of the two, which can compensate for raw speed a lot of the time. Sort of like Prost vs. Senna. However, I agree that once the weather stops coming into it Hamilton will be hard to stop. Which is why I made the bet...

Well sure, quite a few of of Penzz's dad's friend's buddie's, have met Jensen Button. He is clearly the awesomeoust person here we know.

I did shake hands with Webber on the Thursday before the Aussie Grand prix this year. I said good luck mate. Clearly that all rubbed off on him for the year.

I lied, it was two years earlier that I went to the Webber cheer squad get together. I did shake his hand though.

Still, if I wanted to get within 3 meters of next years world champ I could do so with a $70 payment right how. Mark always makes time for his his cheer squad's get together.

when he's kicked out of a ceremony partially in his honour for fighting, with his dad, you know there's something wrong with the guy

There's definitely something wrong with his dad.

For some reason I thought you were talking about Hammy's dad, which in hindsight doesn't make much sense considering your earlier position.

There is something wrong with Jenson's dad though - his giant nose.
