If you could have any truck....
Dumb question, but if you could have any production pickup or SUV (modified or not) from within the last 30 years, what would it be?
I want the 1985 SR5 Toyota Xtra Cab from Back to the Future.
And its modern interpretation from the 2008 Sema Show
Also a mid 90's Dodge Ram Standard Cab Short Bed 4x4
An original Jeep Comanche

That dodge ram was really ahead of its time. Well except for the rear leaf spring.

Too many Choices....
GMC Syclone
Ford Raptor
late 90's Dodge 2500 Cummins 4wd MT
GMC Sierra Denali Quadrasteer
80's Yota's are cool now that i don't live on a pile of salt
Do Quiggley Vans count?

Re: If you could have any truck....
I actually like some small older pickups, especially datsun and mazdas

It's interesting that it looks so tame now, but when that big rig style debuted, every other truck on the market suddenly looked 20 years obsolete. I still can't believe they took the chance to build a truck that looked so different and awesome at the time (and polarizing...most people I knew loved it, but some people vehemently hated the looks).
I have to pretty much echo what SBF said in the OP as far as my favorite trucks...the Toyota, the Ram, the Comanche.
Also have to add the first generation Dakota, the Lil' Red Express, and the Studebaker Champ. Does the Jeep Scrambler count?
Re: If you could have any truck....
Buddy of a buddy of mine (STi guy) just sold a wicked modded Civic (don't laugh, it would spin drag slicks in 3rd gear) and got a Typhoon. Then traded that for a single turbo's FD RX-7. After owning the Typhoon for TWO WEEKS. Apparently this guy does this alot. That said if I cannot have a Typhoon, I'd rather a Mexican Dodge Ramcharger:

He was making fun of my first post, because for some reason the pic of the dodge ram turned into a pic of a corvette.

Oh My statement still stands, though.
Re: If you could have any truck....
Not sure if the Commodore counts because it's a monocoque but a truck should be body on frame.
I like a few - 90s Hilux/4Runner, Jeep Cherokee, WJ Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited, Range Rover Sport and current model RR Supercharged.
But if I had to choose one it would have to be the Hummer H3. In yellow. Or maybe the RR.

Well they are Mexican.

I'd take a new Tundra or Tacoma. Maybe someday they will end me.

Re: If you could have any truck....
Love '42 Chevy Trucks.
so here's a BOF cartruck
aforementioned Syclone plus this Typhoon:
these 454SS's are apparently rare and expensive as hell now.
'99 Dakota R/T
I really wish they'd made these.
But I'd settle for this with the 6.2
